Well put, well deserved!
When I went to Circuit City, I tried to buy a PSN card and the associate told me they don't include a discount on them because they are already prepaid.
Is there anybody who can confirm that the discount DO in fact apply to prepaid PSN cards?
This was a really well-done demo.
When I first played it, I was thrown aback by the change in controls. It didn't feel as responsive as I was used to and it is definitely NOT floaty at all. However, by my 2nd or 3rd play through, I began to appreciate the mechanics much more and got really used to it. It is SO MUCH MORE realistic than any other shooters I've ever played.
You actually feel like you have weight. Yea, you may not be able to turn 180 degrees in a spl...
That's actually really cool. Has any of your work been ... published?
Good information to know, thanks for sharing!
When Sony lowers the price to $299.99 later this year, I think that will be the "sweet spot" price for the PS3.
But even at $400, it is definitely NOT overpriced. Worth every penny!
Insisting Halo 3 is crap doesn't make one a fanboy. Compared with the two before it, Halo 3 WAS crap.
Halo 1 was very good. Halo 2 made significant improvements and was great. But Halo 3 simply didn't add much new to the game, was "more of the same," and a big let-down for me (and many others).
But, you do get my respect for purchasing a PS3 for Killzone 2 and not succumbing to the stupid fanboyism that plagues this console generation. In return, you'll...
Bubbles for you, good sir. I hope you enjoy your PS3 every bit as much as I have the last 2 years!
Microsoft reminds me of that Optimum Online commercial:
"What will the phone company think of next? Whatever the cable company thought of first."
lol @ Boku ... I mean Kodu?
haha.
His response was more like "HOLY HOLY HOLY HOLY HOLY HOLY F***ING S**T!" and not jealousy.
But you've got to agree with him. Metal Gear Solid 4 is a masterpiece, and a game with a story of that caliber has not yet been brought to my attention.
It has produced more sales at a higher price point at this stage in its lifecycle than Microsoft has produced with a lower price-point during the same two year time period.
Given the increasing adoption of Blu-ray (which is faring much better than DVD did during the same point in its lifecycle) and the onslaught of massive, quality, AAA PS3 exclusives coming out in 2009, this may very well be the year that the Playstation 3 overtakes its direct competitor in terms of lifetime sal...
Aside from what you've already mentioned, like the 360 version being on multiple discs (which probably means resolution reduction, and thus inferior graphics, as is being done for Rage), and the PS3 being the lead development platform, you should also consider that Final Fantasy Versus 13 is being released as a PS3 exclusive. It would make sense to have both games on the same console.
Not to mention that there are rumors of save-game interaction between the two titles.
Brought to you only on Playstation 3.
Good point. I was trying to think what it could be.
Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles for the win.
We both know which game has better graphics. Anyone with good vision who has played both games and/or reviewed these comparison shots knows that too.
My point was not that sales is a direct indication of which game is better. It's fairly obvious to understand why some 360 games sell better than PS3 games: Microsoft puts much more money into marketing, the 360 (currently) has a larger install base, etc.
Graphics are very important to me, and graphics and gameplay to...
That's pretty funny. I have a friend from Kentucky that goes into his local Gamestop to buy PS3 exclusives the day they're released. He went to purchase Resistance 2 and he asked for it, and they didn't know what he was talking about. He said "you know, the PS3 FPS that comes out today?" The employee replied "FPS? You mean Halo?"
Meanwhile, roughly 20 other users went into that store to purchase Resistance 2, to the surprise of the Gamestop employee there...
Good analysis. I gave you +bubbles for it. I personally am excited by a Halo RTS, but I'll wait for when it releases on the PC.
Too true. Not sure what you've said in the past to earn -bubbles, but that was a valid statement regarding Microsoft's rotten business practices. I agree with your comment.
I think the PSP will do well in 2009 with the slew of good games that are coming out (Patapon 2, Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce, Resistance Retribution, Final Fantasy Dissidia, etc).
I just bought mine the other day, and I fell in love with it. It's such a slick machine, and I'm happy that I got it.
I bought three games with my system: LocoRoco 2, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and Jeanne D'Arc. Now I just need God of War: Chains of Olympus and Killzone Liberation, ...
