I can't believe that we actually click on the links to their stories to give them ad revenue.
It's almost a crime against humanity.
I can only comment on what I saw:
I saw the Microsoft E3 conference in its entirety, and it was sorely underwhelming. Microsoft did have a few good "exclusives," but they are the same exact exclusives we've been hearing about every single year at E3: Fable, Gears, and Halo. Yes, they are good games, but how about something new? Counting on these franchises for the vast majority of their exclusive content is a mistake: fans want to be surprised with something ...
What a very intelligent post, Snoogins!
You bring up some great points about how Kinect leaves much to be desired. One thing that annoys me is the way that Microsoft is marketing Kinect. Yes, there are cool things about it, but it is nowhere akin to the taming of fire or other advances in human evolution that Microsoft makes it out to be.
Microsoft should not be hyping their product up to that level, because it doesn't come close to living up to that am...
Awesome, so true :D
While definitely not a reliable source, I think it's safe to assume that with all the hype surrounding Natal (especially from casual gamers and mainstream media), such a reveal at E3 would be a HUGE deal and would do well to steal Sony's thunder.
If it did happen, even if the hardware/software was underwhelming (which I personally believe it will be, as a core gamer), many would STILL tout it as a complete win for Microsoft, and it would gain adoption and market share...
Legend of Dragoon is one of my favorite RPGs. I would LOVE for this game to come out, and if it did, I would absolutely buy it on the first day. It was fantastic, and I'd LOVE to play a sequel.
Legend of Legaia was another great game. I heard about it recently and started to play through it, and it's very fun. I'm eager to see what they would do with a sequel.
Have these "previewers" never played Civilization 4 in the past, or do they just not understand their shapes?
Each plot in Civilization 4 was a square, yes. But that meant you could move your unit in one of 8 directions, the obvious up, down, left, right, and the plots diagonal to them.
This new hexagonal plot approach definitely sounds interesting and perhaps an improvement based on the new battle system, but we still have less freedom as to which plots w...
This is AWESOME!
I'm glad that a developer has THE BALLS to portray a story as it sees fit, instead of censoring it and bowing to public opinion.
Terrorists do horrible things people. That's the reality. This portion of the videogame depicts that reality. GET OVER IT!
This game seems awesome, but Bioware has to fix a bunch of things for the PC version, ie memory leaks and the abnormal (and unnecessary) usage of 100% of the CPU, which is causing many PCs to automatically shutdown due to overheating after playing the game.
"They would have to learn to adapt to Infinity Ward controlling all aspects of the servers, or move onto another game."
I guess it's time to move onto another game!
Everybody should do the same; the PS Blog is great.
I wonder what game he shot his son over, lol.
This game is fantastic. I agree with Jim, the multiplayer is brilliant :)
That's awesome. He made the review from Uncharted 2's Machinima mode. Truly fitting!
LOL! Awesome.
This is amazing news. I'm still in shock over how awesome this announcement is. GREAT JOB SONY! I'm extremely pleased that they've decided to deliver to their fans what we've been yearning for.
This is a trend I fully support and hope it continues.
I'll definitely be purchasing these once they're available!
Of course. They're taking tips from the master ;)
I think there is great potential with the PS3 motion controller. The good thing is consumers will have a CHOICE of whether they want to use motion control or not. If a great app arrives that uses motion control (which I'm sure there will be some), then we can purchase it and use it. If we're not interested, we can simply purchase traditional games that use the Dualshock 3. The great thing is that we're not forced to do either. I anticipate some games will be compatible with both. David ...
Welcome back. Long live the free internet!
I did notice a tiny bit of lag during the E3 press conference when the guy from EA was demo-ing Tiger Woods live. The lag only came when he made his really quick swing to hit the ball.
The Sony engineers behind this technology have already stated that such lag exists when developers take the 1:1 (no lag) camera input and process it, then output it to the screen. So, depending on what the game (and developer) does with the feed, there may be a tiny bit of lag.
