So do I, my friend, so do I.
This commercial seems really funny. Especially after the one where the camera-man gets attacked by a running grim, which is them knocked about by the girl that accompanied him, this seems really appropriate.
I wish we would get both of those commercials here in the United States. That's some good advertising!
This is absolutely correct for many families. As the video-gamer generations begin having families and children of their own, they will share their hobbies with their sons and daughters. It will bring families together. With the expansion of the casual market, this can be only a positive thing. Games like LittleBigPlanet, Singstar, and Buzz! Quiz TV are great family and party games that families would enjoy.
That's an awesome Resistance 2 commercial for Japan. I wish they showed that in the US, haha.
This is one of the problems I have with the Xbox 360 controller. Not just for 360 games, but I also used the 360 controller for Windows to play oldschool SNES games and the like, and was always disappointed with it.
Thankfully, there are free drivers that allow one to use the PS3 controller for Windows, so my problems are solved!
It's funny that my cousins were part of the Wii craze and got one as soon as they could. Within 6 months it did nothing but collect dust. It's still there in their basement, just sitting there, doing nothing. They even still use their PS2 to play DVDs down there.
Had they gotten a PS3, they would not only have a blu-ray player, but also a system for casual as well as hardcore gamers. Games like LittleBigPlanet, Buzz! Quiz TV, The Eye of Judgment, and Singstar are more for the...
Thanks for the tip. Awesome username and avatar, by the way! IT was a great book/movie(s).
Oh wow, I forgot about that - sales will skyrocket once that releases!
Japan seems to be happy with LittleBigPlanet - and the popularity will keep on rising.
I don't see the relevance to GeOW2 and the fact that the PS3 has just made up for the 7 week losing streak to Xbox 360 in Japan.
With LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2, the PS3 is poised for success.
I can understand why they would do that, but in MY game I would definitely allow the killing of children. I don't believe in censorship, and feel in such an experience a person should be allowed to do (in the game) anything that would be possible to do in real life: killing children included.
I just watched the new Killzone 2 trailer on my 40" LCD using my PS3's web browser; it's nice having multiple pages open at the same time and being able to zoom in on them as well. Granted, the video wasn't at 720p resolution so it didn't look as great as it could have, but I have the choice of viewing it at its original size instead of blowing it up to the whole screen.
The end result: a more satisfying internet experience on my PS3 than any PC Internet Explorer experience...
You're absolutely right on that one!
Yea, it really isn't difficult to beat Internet Explorer, but that's pretty damn good for a gaming console to accomplish! I would have preferred for Sony to work out a deal with Mozilla to get a Firefox-based browser on the PS3, but with the new update the internet works much better than before.
You're right. They've gone above and beyond for their fans, which prompted me to buy Burnout Paradise in the first place. When I heard about their dedication, I knew I had to support them. If any developer deserves "Developer of the Year" Award, it is Criterion Games!
What do you mean airplanes? I don't think we'll be able to pilot planes.
Yea, I know. I noticed that Criterion made Black the other day at Blockbuster, and I was impressed. That was an awesome game. How they could go from making an FPS to such a good racing game could provide a good lesson in diversification.
360degrees:
$400 is a great price for the PS3, nevermind $340 with the discount. It's all about the value of the system that you're getting.
The PS3 delivers for me (and for many) a superior gaming experience, along with the ultimate multimedia experience. Not only does it display a maximum of 1080p native resolution (which the Xbox 360 is not capable of), but it includes a Blu-Ray drive that allows the playback of Blu-Ray movies. The 360 is still limited to a DVD...
Great review, thanks a lot for sharing!
This game is absolutely amazing. It deserves game of the year!
I know, right?
If it makes you feel better, you could be a grim in competitive 60-person multiplayer. That's in addition to the awesome 8 person co-op that brings hours and hours of replay value to the game.
This commercial definitely heightens anticipation for the game.
