I don't understand why this was a good thing anyway... it limited you to 10 people to swap games with. On my ps3 (or 360 but i don't have one), I can trade games with 743 people... it was a limitation, just like all the other "features"... remember, only 1 person could play a certain game at any given time.
its the same in all media! weather you didn't like how mass effect ended or you thought the kingdom of the crystal skull was garbage beginning to end... I mean, come on, when south park devotes an entire episode to how much your movie sucked... but i digress... people are allowed to like or dislike whatever they want. get over it. sometimes their opinions are justified.

i had a friend who used to work for GS, and he quit because they pretty much made him do that stuff... he said he hated pushing stuff on people, but he loved the rest of the job. not enough to stay there though.
a year ago I had a few dollars burning in my pocket, and came thiiiiiis close to buying a 360... but i couldn't justify the purchase based on 2 games, and im glad i didn't waste the cash to be honest...

They have a few more good looking games RIGHT NOW, but look how sony is STILL supporting the ps3, great exclusives right up till the end, and throughout... 360s exclusives dropped off a while back... (unless you count kinect games... yall aren't right?)

yes your I7 is older, but the gaming rig you got didn't cost $399 to build i believe... if, for example your rig cost $1000 to build, (not unreasonable for a gaming pc, prob low end), thats like saying my $60,000 dollar 3yr old corvette beat your $27,000 cobalt...

...just like DRM, right? cant just flip a switch and shut it off? but they did it in 5 days lol... its no more mandatory than DRM, they just want to make sure it ships with every xbone so developers know you have one, and they might implement it more than if its an optional accessory...

sony can only control what SONY does, and they said they're not changing anything... As for publishers, online passes are different from "if i dont check in in the next 4 hours my game becomes a frisbee..."
besides, if publishers (ea perhaps?) decide to do something sleazy, they'll do it on both systems, and we're all screwed anyway lol!
the level of sophistocation isn't there in a webcam... Kinect is perfect for this kind of thing, being able to log who is watching what, how many users are involved, identifying them and their preferences... my cell phone gets occasional pics of my leg, my webcam isn't much better... kinect is integrated into the OS of xbone and can tell who is doing what, and log that info... a little creepier than my 1mp front facing iphone camera...
also, kinect is much more sophistocated than a pseye, iphone camera, etc... it can identify users by voice face and skeletal structure, and can MEASURE YOUR FREAKIN HEARTBEAT!

I agree with above posters, what happens if they decide to flip the switch again and re-start DRM and 24hr checks? and 20m people buy it hook line and sinker? Getting a ps4, and i don't think I could recommend a xbone to anyone I liked as of right now... M$ sounds too much like a greasy used car salesman right now...
I dunno, EA seems to really want to earn a better rep, maybe online passes actually ARE gone... I'll take them at their word for now, like I believed that DRM and 24hr checks were essential for the functioning of the xbone... Microsofts tactics are plain now, (lying to customers to get sales)... your move EA...
I haven't trusted them since the RROD... Now that they see that their $%@# wont fly, NOW they want to listen... riiiiiiiight... OUR opinion is only worth the money we'll spend with them, they dont care if were happy or not...

enacting it in the first place pretty much blew customer confidence out the window, and would have sunk the xbone outright... All im saying is, we see what they would do if they could get away with it, them "taking it back" (imo) dosn't help... sony decided they could make a profit WITHOUT doing things they knew we'd hate... M$ said "F#@% it, lets go!" those are the kind of companies i cant give money to...
