we both know 10 people. you sell 1 xbox to each, for a total of 10. i only see 1 of my friends this week, but sell him 10 PS4s.
which situation sounds better for future sales? i still know 9 people i haven't even asked yet, whereas you've already asked everyone you know if they want what you're selling... given these numbers, i think ps4 will outsell xbone quite a bit. 2:1? 3:1? still too early, but i could see 2:1 being plausible.
i agree that MS will probably NEVER release a kinect-less sku, but imo the problem started when they saw hardcore gamers didn't care for kinect, and instead of MSs focus shifting away from kinect, it shifted away from the hardcore gamer... "were making kinect a priority, so f off"

as far as bluray vs kinect goes, im not too concerned about functionality... but bluray did gimp ps3 sales initially, soley because of the PRICE. bluray was useful for most. kinect will be a fun add on. but sales WILL be retarded because of the price difference, with the exception of the ipad, this is as close to a fact as possible. $500>$400, and some people dont look any further. thats some sales to your competitor. every sale counts. (to MS and SONY lol)

wow, who did they focus group? i cant think of anybody who thinks kinect is ESSENTIAL... the best ive heard so far is "neat" or "futuristic", not "needed"
theyre seriously gonna have problems with consumers over the price tag for a while, especially when both are sitting on a shelf next to each other, both available for purchase.

if its more expensive it should have something more than the competition... but in this case, thats the kinect, which I REAAAAALLLYY don't care about. it isn't worth $50 to me, no less the +$100 they're basically asking for it.

thats true, they have the budget consious, and the tech-heads, and the die hard sony fans... all thats left is the die hard xbox fans. They sold a million worldwide, lets see if thats enough for them to keep buying exclusives LOL
hopefully they would have designed a UI that is simple and easy to use without HAVING to use kinect... but thats their plan, isn't it? just keep making it so people HAVE to own and use kinect even if they'd perfer not to. Oh well, thats a symptom of the problem i have with MS, its their way or play your 360 LOL

there are 2 different types of recording, one for 30sec, one for 5min. its a different app for the 5min one, that you snap to.

first, i hope its better for the premium you pay for it. Second, I like having the option not to pay for it.
Third, I don't actually believe any hardcore games will use it for anything useful, much like i don't think they'll utilise the ds4's trackpad too much either.
