loved it on PC, its a great game, but not a system seller for me... however, anybody who hasn't tried it yet, i strongly recommend it!
its a coming man! ps3 players just didn't experience as much of it as 360 owners last gen, due to the year difference... the 360s first year had TONS of cross-gen stuff! the "remaster" is a new concept, but it always takes devs a little while to pump out new stuff.
its really nothing like dayz IMO, in dayz, other players are the biggest obstacle, and you can pretty much solo the game. state of decay is very much about building your base, picking a location, doing missions to strenghten relationships with the NPCs, kinda like a small-scale Skyrim... with zombies... and no dragons or dragon powers... ok, its not much like skyrim but you get the point!
second son is pretty awesome, the powers are so "out of the box"... doing my evil/hard playthrough now! pretty sure you'll enjoy it!

seriously though, activision usually has some crappy business practices, this is pretty tame by comparison. a most welcome change! these kinds of cross promotions are win-win for everybody, i'd much rather see stuff like this!
activision is HUGE. naturally, big companies have many strategies to promote their games... most of them are sleazy or underhanded (timed dlc, microtransactions), sometimes bad for consumers (on disc dlc) or anti-competitive (maddens exclusive rights to the NFL)...
but sometimes they do something cool. this is a good way to leverage their library, and get customers to consider a game they may have been on the fence about... its not much, but sometimes its the little thing...
Glad to see first light getting positive reviews... but i really wish we could see the end of a number based system (really, whats the difference between a 9.25 and a 9.5?), and just end the review on "would you recommend it or not"... it would take alot of flame outta the comment sections if people couldn't argue about a 1% lead between metacritic scores. rule of thumb? greater than 70? think you'll like it? get it!
no harm, except all the money and time localising their OS, games, and voice commands. If japanese consoles are selling as poorly as they are in japan, i don't see what M$ thinks they will accomplish.

there is a difference... this can play games the 3ds cant, meaning its technically a new system thats backward compatible. thats not an impovement, its a replacement. how successful it is remains to be seen.
I don't think ive heard from any 3ds owner about how its lack of power was dissappointing them... they seemed to be getting along just fine with their 3ds! it seems like nintendo is trying to fix something that isn't broke.
