how could he even play much crucible or end-game content in this short of time? seriously, the pvp in this game is stellar, me and my clan gonna sink a HUGE amount of time into it!
this will end up being one of those games that I like, all my friends like, everybody else i personally know likes, the few people i know with x1s like, and has record breaking sales... but people online will do nothing but hate it. kinda sad people get so worked up over something they supposedly dont care about.
my review? fun game, solid mechanics, great pvp, fair amount of content, and so far my favorite game of the year (also the one i'll spend the most time on!) ...

umm, what? ive had an absolute BLAST playing with my friends, which wouldn't really be possible without it being online... although a single player only mode would be a nice addition, playing destiny alone is kind of miss...
...minecraft always looked fun, just never had the massive amounts of time needed to do the game justice. when a game is too open ended i just cant get into it. some people want just that, but not me... if i wanna craft something with no restrictions, and have ALOT of home rennovations i need to get to work on... LOL!
IMO the number system sucks. instead of looking at a number to determine the value of a game, you need to look at the details of the review... whats important to you? if you like these things destiny will appeal to you...
1. large game (not massive)
2. light rpg elements
3. strong pvp
however if you're looking for these things, destiny might not be for you...

that is a comment that is PURELY pro-M$ spin... so far, M$ fanboys have came up with "arguments" to turn these cons into pros.
1. less power
2. kinect bundled
3. kinect un-bundled
4. no indies
5. worse FPS/Rez
its fine to like whatever you want, but a smaller game library, with a lack of variety will NEVER be a good thing! this is how other systems with poor support started, one or two games not coming to a ce...
It seems like they have a plan in place, well have to see though...
On topic, nobody thought Cod would dominate a Gen, but here we are... I definitely think it's a possibility, the gameplay is solid and has something for just about everybody. Good luck destiny!
just the fact that were talking about it means destiny is doing great... what other brand new IP has anybody ever insinuated could out-sell GTA? $500mil is AWESOME, every game doesn't have to be the new absolutely biggest seller ever... and im happy with destiny either way! (glad to see it succeeding though!)

It's not "reviews" that are dumb, it's the number at the end... Example, if they gave it an 8 for being repetitive, but you don't mind that... Or if they took away points for the length being too short, and you're like me, and have a short attention span anyway and don't finish massive games. Read the reasons, see if they're deal breakers for YOU.
Lots of negative Nancys on here... Destiny is lots of fun, can't wait to hop back on later... Be playing the crucible all morning, kicking butt with the scout rifle! Gamepad is smooth too, haven't experienced any lag, day one online is usually horribly glitchy... Can see myself playing this a time!
Exactly, look into it yourself.. If you liked halos mp, the crucible is freaking awesome, can't wait to hop back in and get some awesome gear lol... Me and my friends are having a blast with it

most games dont have very good ai, its something i'd really like to see improved this gen... however, TLoU's ai isn't bad. How many games did it noticably better? definetly not any other stealth games ive played in the past 3 years, you can usually get away with stuff a 4 year old would catch you on!
i guess im the only one who thinks having a hard drive sitting around is kinda ugly...

and that seriously IS the ENTIRE point to destiny... to play it with people. me and my nephew were doing the big boss fight on the moon, and literally screaming at each other, laughing, and having a blast! even if the missions are a little repetitive (and what games aren't, really?) the awesomeness comes from doing things with your friends.
Ive had more fun with destiny than with any other game this year! (or last year for that matter!)
