I agree that screenshot looked especially good, its the second screen of the single player campaign. Lair looked good aswell.
It has to do alot with the ps3 audience being more hardcore, as a result of the high price tag, the majority of ps3 owners are hardcore and tend to buy more games than the casual gamers. As a result a greater percentage of the ps3 install base bought The Darkness than the xbox 360 base since that market has part of the casual crowd mixed in. Like ps2 and xbox, the software sales at the time weren't that far off considering the ps2's install base is 4 times that of the xbox
I think microsoft is pushing digital distribution over Blu-ray or HD DVD, HD DVD was just there as an option but they weren't too serious about it or else they would have included it like sony. DVD sales are dropping as itunes, Live marketplace sales increase.
I believe it has more to do with the release of Halo 3 sucking up the FPS fanbase therefore hindering sales of UT3 on the xbox 360. It makes sense business wise to push it to 2008.

It ultimately is sonys fault for building a console that is far from reach for the mass market. I know some of you are going to say how cheap it is but your the hardcore crowd, mass market is going with the wii and DS lite at the moment since they have the best price so far. The xbox 360 is still abit to pricy but Im really surprised they sold over 10 million without 1 price drop, its been like 19 months since launch and still no drop in price. hey sony guys, got a question...how long do game firmwares usually take to download and install? I was doing it for my cousin and his took a while and im not too sure if it was his internet or not.
I agree that Bungie is important and all but RARE is microsoft's primary developer, they are the biggest and are producing the most in house games. They have released 3 retail games and a few arcade games already while bungie is yet to launch 1.

Its because Halos movie budget is huge, somewhere around $300 million dollars which is a huge. They need to know if they can get the money back.
I understand when theres a petition to make an exclusive go multiplatform, that makes sense for love for everyone but this is just sad. Why do you care if its exclusive or not, just be happy its coming to your system.
I remember sony saying how they had an answer for Halo, they were like wait for killzone, it will be the halo killer for sure. It will make us all say halo who? Killzone came and then killzone went, everyone forgot about it after the first week, it was closer to Rainbow six in gameplay than Halo. As for killzone 2, if its based on the same mechanics as Killzone 1, then it should be a hybrid of the rainbox six mechanics (hide behind walls and shoot).

Halo 3 was the only game I've heard being announced on National News, even local radio station talk of it. The freaking beta was even talked about on the news. The average casual gamer probably buys a game every 2 months or so, so its better for microsoft to release their product first, and as a result GTA 4 first day sales will suffer slightly.
Also microsoft is going to big up the phrase "Xbox 360 is the only platform you can play both Halo 3 and GTA IV", don't beli...
$1.1 billion / $400 is what fox news did to get this number...... there are so much more costs associated with that like labour, shipping/packaging and cost of call representatives.
