Well you can wait for hell to freeze over...hehehe....microsoft doesn't provide mac support and its usually up to third party to fill that in. Windows is made by microsoft so they wouldn't just start making software for other OS when they receive nothing out of it.
Why does it have to be built in, its not a laptop that you carry around. Most people dont carry for HD-DVD/Blu-ray, and Wi-Fi is convinient but it does have its downside (slower transfer rate and tendency to cut out).

The other (rational side) is knowing that it cost money to make the products so the cost should be passed down for those that want it.
As much as I want these maps for free it is a business and if you keep giving things for free it just puts you deeper into the red.
I dont see how microsoft abondoned the xbox. Developers are free to make games for them as we still see but first party wise the focus has shifted to xbox 360. After God of War shipped sony has shifted to the ps3. Why would you part your company resources on 2 different products that are competing against each other. Well consoles are becoming more like PCs so its a natural evolution towards consoles as we knew them 5 years ago might towards multimedia pcs.
Isnt the wii selling at roughly triple or double that of the ps3 and xbox 360. So it should be the fastest selling console right? I know for sure that nintendo is about to hit 6 million sold.

how is 18 months, "being just released". Think all the way back to nov 2005 and all the technology that had changed. Also the console is the same all they did was increase the capacity of the harddrive which is a result of 18 months of technological increase in higher density storage which was not avaiable in 2005 or was way to much money. HDMI also only starting to be mainstream, there was no reason for HDMI in the past since you can get full resolution and audio from your xbox 360...
You know the former Sega head is Peter Moore, so theres a greater chance of partnering with Microsoft then Sony.
I can tell you from my knowledge that it can't be component to HDMI, that defects the purpose since you are simply taking an analog signal and changing it to digital. If the cable exists its straight from the AV port.
They won't....wouldnt make sense for a $4 map pack. The last one had about a dozen or so of maps and was about $20. But this imagine with the cost of packaging, shipping and retailer profits the cost can easily jump to 300% its face value. All you need is a silver membership to get it too.

Well the man is trying to break apart the only thing that holds this community apart. I say locked him in solitary comfinment with nothing more than a copy of San Andreas and a console to play it on. Oh better yet let him try on GTA IV. I bet you we can make a beleiver out of him. Again what does this man want, not to sell to underage or ban the game completely.
He's getting the better end because the wii deal is valued at $540 while your giving him
Xbox 360 premium = $400
3 x Controllers = $180
4 x games = $200
which is $780.
I say stick with the xbox 360 and get the wii instead.
What patch for oblivion?....there hasn't been a patch since last year. Also only certain things can be solved by patching.
They launched in the 3 major regions within a 2 week period. While sony had 4 months to build up stock. The xbox 360 was difficult to find into store until about mid april and the wii appears to be the same, maybe even going further. The point Im trying to make is both nintendo and microsoft had a complete sell through of all their stock during the launch period while sony did not (partly due to sony supplying loads of consoles, which is really good since it cut back on the shootings ;) ).
The future is heading towards digital distribution, so by having the 120GB they are future proofing for future content downloaded off the marketplace. Online commerce is very popular and this is an extention in your living room. HDMI is for the people that bought the HD-DVD and now they can get HD audio out of it too, aswell as DVD upconversion to 1080p as "promised" ;)
why? you got everything as advertised didn't you. Also its not like you are getting all this for the price of a premium.....microsoft is obviously charging for the difference.
I never knew that sony invented the colour black. As I recall my genesis was black.....further back my atari ;). Its just a colour man, the real reason for the colour was to distinguish it from the premium. They need to add HDMI for the people that want that connection, they all needed to introduce a bigger harddrive for the marketplace movie downloads so it just made sense.
The annual thing is fine as long as they dont make too drastic a change...maybe add a new colour and bump up the disc capacity and thats fine....right?
