First Killzone 1 was supposed to be a Halo killer and that flopped and now this. Is it going to have 2 million gamers line up for killzone 2,are people going to play it after 2.5 years and a system change, is it going to spawn novels, movies and leave a mark on a generation of gamers. Think of all this before you make these remarks. Killzone like all sony's games will be sadly forgeten after a month (not hating but honestly what does sony have first party wise).
You ignortaly ignoref the EDRAM the xbox 360 has which does all the antialaising, Alpha blending, Z stenciling all of which the main GPU which is already a generation ahead doesnt have to do and lets not forget the build in scaler. The xbox 360s GPU is a huge powerhouse and not mentioning that shows how ignorant fanboys can be.

This data is for USA only, because microsoft said 10.4 million shipped by 2007, which was 13 months and this site claims 5 million by 13 months. Either its a sony fan creating these charts or its US sales data. The original xbox sold 25 million within 48 months, yet this site says what 16 million by 61 months?, that doesnt even make sense.
I'm sure they made some of that back from the exclusive deal with microsoft. They sold over a million copies on launch of this game so they are bound to sell atleast 2 million copies worldwide. Lets say they make $40 per game sold x 2 million copies and thats a cool $80 million dollars, plus the money made from DLC and also from microsoft's exclusive deal.

I played the first one and I love the minigames like trying to launch your driver in a long jump. Not the average type of car game.

DVD playback is alright considering that they are outputted at 480p instead of upscaled to 1080p. Same quality as my standalone yamaha or samsung progressive dvd player.

$289 million is actually small change for what the xbox devision did for microsoft and establising the xbox in peoples living rooms. They rake in $40 billion annually, the xbox 360 boasted sales of mediacenter, zune and will likely boast sales of Vista Premium so people can get the new media center features.
Its was due to the canadian dollar falling slightly in value, im guessing both futureshop and bestbuy were starting to lose money for a unit sold and that force them to raise the systems price.
