That has nothing to do with the games and given the majority of Spider-Man's value lies in merchandising, which Marvel holds all rights to, and the success of the MCU before Spider-Man was even in the picture, they really don't "need" them at all.

They WANT to work with them, however.

But again... nada to do with the games.

Ted let his team pick, actually.

Solo Spidey games are PS exclusive as per the licensing agreement.

Just like only Activision could make games with the characters they licensed.

@ilostmymind

Technically no. Sony Interactive Entertainment currently hold the license as per their deal with Marvel, so only they can make games about Spider-Man SPECIFICALLY. However, in games with an ensemble cast, a la the various mobile games and Ultimate Alliance 3, the character can still be used at Marvel's discretion.

Just not this SPECIFIC version of Spider-Man, which IS the property of PlayStation.

Marvel doesn't need Sony, most of Spidey's money comes from merch, and they wholesale own that.

The only bit of the Spider-Man IP Sony owns is film rights. Everything else? Marvel. Comics? Marvel. Merch? Marvel. Cartoons? Marvel. Video games? Marvel.

Sony does not own the character. Marvel does. lmao

Sony only outright owns film and live-action TV rights. "Sole owner of the character", where tf do people get this stuff?

...You lost me somewhere in that logic pretzel.

They're sure as heck trying.

There are far better, more reasonable ways to run a Free-to-Play economy in games, my guy.

Don't argue with Red. He spins anything and everything into what he wants it to mean. Just laugh at him and move on.

Sending in an unsolicited pitch 100% guarantees that it was either never opened or will never be used.

They won't even touch it for legal purposes.

Two discs worth of story content in exchange for no MP?

I'm good with that.

They went for the headline that would get them clicks. The actual interview was good.

Shipped to stores doesn't translate to sell-through though. You could ship 30 million consoles to stores and yet if less than half of those sell, that's not a good thing for your brand.

Sell-through is arguably just as important, if not more so, to a company.

They worked on the campaign for Infinite Warfare too. Which is probably why the campaign was the best part of that game.

2455d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Spec Ops, yes. Campaign... I'd rather be surprised.

And on Stadia, it'll only take three seconds for that button press to register! :D

When the comments section even has people who didn't like or hated the game asking "what bugs", you know it's gotta be clickbait. lol

The quantum realm affects different people differently. Gave Janet weird projection powers, for example.

And she would have given them to Maw and Thanos before she came back, they make more there, and then she travels back to the exact moment programmed in. That simple.

"Perfect sendoff"

lmao

I went in hyped up and came out beyond underwhelmed.
