Death Stranding is booty tho.
I don't think you know what a sequel is supposed to be, man.
It's not meant exclusively to tie loose ends, or "fix" something in the previous game, or even necessarily "improve" it. Sometimes it's simply more of a story you want to tell.
Do you not know what the phrase "put up or shut up" means?
The article is saying that people need to either be serious and not buy it like they've been threatening to, or just buy it and be quiet since they're showing they'll buy it anyway and this isn't THAT important to them.
Well, there's this lovely little nugget.

Yoshida did not get demoted. Stop with that nonsense.
You just described a genuinely awful experience, my guy.
lmao you're literally embracing the stereotype at this point
I daresay that if this is how you act after playing this game, Kojima has UTTERLY failed at making the point he claims to want to make.
I've seen quite the opposite myself; a lot of stuff some of these same reviewers savaged in other games is getting a pass in Death Stranding.
It's not an actual 7. Jim doesn't do scores anymore.
It's a reference to when he did give scores, gave BotW a 7/10 (which on his site is listed as a good-but-flawed game score) and the fanboys freaked out on him for giving it such a bad score, sent him death threats, and DDoS'd his website for days over it. So now, a lot of times if he thinks a game is bad, he'll jokingly toss out a 7/10.
Quite the contrary. He liked RDR2, but was critical of all the self-indulgent micromanaging mechanics for the sake of "realism". With Death Stranding, however, he feels it doesn't have the elements that allowed the stronger parts of RDR2 to overcome that annoyance.
The 7/10 is a callback to his BotW review in which he gave it a 7 (For him that's a score for a game that's good but flawed) but rabid fanboys acted as if he called the game bad. So now, wh...
...wow.
OR, and here's a thought, they can focus mainly on traditional gaming and still offer the option for those who want it!
Which is what they're doing.
Then why on Earth would you waste money on an Xbox?? You literally have the games and even the services on PC.
He didn't even take Layden's job lmao
He was Layden's European counterpart. They had the exact same rank. He took Andrew House/John Kodera's position.
I love how you Xbox/Streaming dudes keep insisting he's really saying the opposite of what he literally just said.
...yes, I'm sure they docked points from the truck simulator for being what it's stated to be. That's totally relevant to this and clever as well.
Bravo, dear friend, for invalidating this entire review with your rapier wit.
Now that's some very poor optimization. Yikes.
I'm sorry, but I literally will not take people seriously who say a game is boring, needlessly frustrating, and empty, but then turn around and give it a 10/10 because "it's important, ok?"
If a news outlet did this to a game because they loved how "woke" it was and thought that was important in gaming, y'all would be screeching about integrity. N4G best keep that same energy here instead of making excuses for a game because Kojima's name...
