I love how honest DICE is, one of the few devs who will actually come out and say the console version is like the PC version on the lowest possible settings! Basically saying you could not even make the game look as bad as it does on console even with the lowest requirements.
Even though this is true for every game, I love that they have the balls to say it!

The achilles heel of both consoles is their terribly weak gpu's. Rant all you care to about cpu's and ram, while important, the workhorse of graphics output lies in the gpu!
Next gen consoles need only;
A decent quad core
4 gb ram
a gtx 570 or equivilant gpu to produce 5x the visuals of uncharted 2!
Built my most recent build on the kitchen counter while making tacos, the pc was done before the tacos, I am serious!

between 2 and 3 some charachter models look better in 2 to be honest at least from theses screens, sully's hair looks like playdough in part 3.
but uncharted 2looked amazing on consoles, 3 should be just a wee bit better, don't go in expecting a giant leap and you'll be happy.
well, all us used game buyers are the reason we won't be able to buy used games easily for much longer.
it's gonna be all digital sooner than you think.
get those physical copies of games you love while you can.

Consoles are always playing catch-up!
The only reason we are still playing on 360's and ps3's right now is because of the shareholders and boards of trustees of MS and Sony.
They see little value in the volitile games division, I know how heart crushingly saddening that truth is for many of you, but it's just that, the truth.
Sony is, first and foremost, a giant Hardware maker. Cell Phones, Mp3s, TV's, Stereos, ect.
MicroSOFT is, shocker here, a software company! ...
If that pic is a screenshot from it, it better be a free flash game, or an xboxlive or psn game, cause something that nasty looking sure as hell ain't getting a dime from me or going on my HardDrive!

rented the game on ps3, looked really nice, the combat in the first 45 min was dull, I went back to palying starcraft 2, stalker complete 2012 mod, and dark souls!
I'll probably grab this game on pc for the better resolution 1080p-1600p (depending on if i use the 55" samsung or the 30" 1600p), the way better anti aliasing, the higher quality textures and the physx. Most likely I'll get it from Steam when it hits $7 like I got arkham asylum.

cool.....The Beta drivers for the BF3 Beta definately made a difference, I tested it with my WHQL drivers first then applied the beta driver and got about 10-12 extra frames per second on "ultra" (not real ultra to full game, woo-hoo_)
With V-Sync I was Maxed at 60 about 90% of the time, though smoke when going down into the subway dropped me to about 45.
I'm downloading BF3 on origin right now, got it for $45 pre-order with my 25% off birthday ...
