Umm IDeath489, humans weren't cast out of Heaven, the angels that followed Satan were. They became demons.
But it's irrelevant, because obviously, the quote is metaphorical. It's not actually referring to angels, nor is it referring to a litteral Heaven (Outer Heaven?) or "monsters" either.
I think you're read WAY too far into it. I don't see this game getting very theological, other than perhaps being part of the madman's re...
Obviously. However, just because it was "ported" to a newer console, doesn't mean is has to look like it was. Pikmin definitely looks the part.
And I made no claims that Pikmin should be the standard, I merely stated that it has some good and bad qualities to it's visuals.
And whether or not it should be the standard, the unfortunate case is that it's the best looking Wii U game so far. Thus it will most likely be what most people judge ...
Pikmin is completely hit or miss. Some of the things it does are phenomenal. The number of real time reflections, and their quality, is impressive.
However, there are a lot of low rez textures all over the place. The game has the distinct look that it was meant for Wii and they upgraded it for the Wii U.
But don't take my word for it, see what Digital Foundry said about it:

There's a reason we've been seeing such a disconnect between what developers are saying, and what the Wii U is producing. I have a feeling you're not going to see much of that extra power they're referring to, and here's why: the tablet controller.
Nintendo's console doesn't have to render just one image, it has to render two simultaneously. Now odds are that the image on the tablet screen won't be too graphically intensive, but it's still ...
"Why I'm buying a Vita again, six months after trading it in..."
But in all seriousness, being an early adopter of a gaming device requires patience. If people are this impatient for new games when Wii U, PS4, and Xbox 720 come out, then the next gen is going to flop.
Vita launches in March (in US) to one of the biggest, and best launches of any console, Resistance comes out in May, Gravity Rush in June, Sound Shapes and Papa & Yo in August,...
Great. This troll migrated from IGN. Lucky us...
No one is expecting "hardcore" games, at least not recent ones. The thing is, it's completely open. That opens up an entire world of possibilities. It is most assuredly going to be a fantastic emulating device. You already have emulators on the Android store. This thing is perfect for that.
The community has shown that they can do some pretty incredible things with technology (think Kinect hacks). $130 and you're getting a lot. I don't think anyone is ex...
Nolan North and Nathan Fillion are both too old to play Drake now. It just wouldn't be believable and would fall flat.
Emily and Richard, on the other hand, would be perfect.
Drake is an athletic guy, you can't just throw a guy in his 40's into the role, especially if they're thinking of it becoming a franchise. I love both actors and would love to see them in other stuff, but their time has passed for this movie.
Edit: After ...
Am I the only one who thinks this looks interesting? It's not like it's a cheap knock-off, they're doing motion-capture and everything.
It's a shame that people tend to stay away from this genre, even in movies because of the fear of being labeled a rip-off. Yet, there are tons of books and old serials based on it, and it's one of my favorites.
There's a difference between inspiration and copying. It blows my mind that people can't see this.
The Dreamcast didn't have shoulder buttons, black and white buttons, or a right analog stick. The shape is also entirely different. Also, there's no area for a VMU on the Xbox controllers.
It's understood that companies will "borrow" ideas from each other. Perhaps we're reaching an area of diminishing returns, but the difference...
"Word of advice. Expand your horizons, take your eyes away from the pinhole view, and perhaps even consider the value of enjoying and respecting all sides rather than choosing one before you decide to take part in such a conversation."
Ironic statement of the day. First of all, perhaps Spencer was talking about two different things? The Nintendo crowd gets 360 ports they missed out on last gen, and the Xbox crowd gets to play Nintendo games on an Xbox 360 controller...
"As always, the challenge still stands to you guys who seem to think the controller can match a mouse in speed or precision. -- You will never win, I guarantee it."
Sometimes it's about fun, you know. I find a mouse less immersive than sticks, but the much bigger gripe for me is the keyboard. They are built for typing, not gaming. On a controller, I can move my character and perform actions without moving my fingers very far. It's all easily accessible and c...
Which isn't a problem, because 720p looks fine even on a large 1080p TV, provided you're further than 3 feet away from the screen.
It's silly to waste resources on something most people won't be able to see. It's more of a comfort for people to know it's in 1080p, than for them to actually be able to tell the difference. That's really only something hardcore PC gamers can see.
That said 720p should be the absolute minimum for many ...
2. I know I've talked about visuals and aesthetics a lot so far, and that is far from the most important thing in gaming. But frankly, when you spend a grand on a gaming machine, you expect it to look good. However, PC's also have the problem of not PLAYING as good as they should. While PC games are the best looking on the market, they tend to be a bit old-fashioned in their play styles. Consoles are guilty of this too, but to a lesser extent. Most of this gen has involved playing ext...
I'm new to PC gaming, so I'm no expert on the subject. However, here are some of the flaws I've seen with it:
1. The BIGGEST flaw is that it isn't as good as it should be. You hear a lot of talk about how PC's are "next-gen" and the graphics are so much better than consoles. Which is true, to an extent. The problem is, these "next-gen" experiences are limited to a very small (comparatively) number of games.
Most PC game...
It may have been a cash in, but I felt like the Gears 2 campaign was paced a lot better than the first. There was a lot of variety in the environments, whereas Gears 1 was incredibly samey and dragged the whole game.
I beat Gears 2 in a couple of days, but Gears 1 took me 6 months because I kept getting bored. And while Gears 2 didn't have the best story, at least it had one.
Different strokes for different folks. Someday I'll get around to playing Ge...
I think it would be awesome if the player that sees what's inside the box doesn't actually tell anyone. Then the entire thing was all for naught.
I'm surprised by the complete lack of lag. Before reading your comment, I thought he managed to actually load the game through the PS Suite environment. It seemed too responsive to be streaming. However, when I paused it, he does indeed click on "VitaRemoteClient".
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure the Vita could handle that number of AI on screen at once.
Corny in what way? I've only watched a few videos, but I thought it looked pretty interesting.
Can I quote this and use it later?
My prediction: MS launches their next system late 2013
Sony launches Spring 2014
MS is clearly ready for the next-gen. You can tell by their attitude. A lot of MS's studios have been really quiet, they're likely working on next-gen titles for the console's launch.
Sony's a bit harder to figure out, but I can't see them letting MS get another full year head start thi...
