The change needs to happen!
Treyarch's first Black Ops really surprised me, as besides all the co-op and multiplayer stuff, they proved that with a big budget and high production values they can actually deliver a good single-player experience, with, what is rare for shooters these days, a story that is easy to digest. Looking forward to getting my hands on Black Ops II!
Meh, Connor I thought was great... the whole Indian thing and how the back story compliments the characters throughout was rather genius. Perhaps I'm showing my age a bit, but I thought it had a similar tone to Costner's Dances with Wolves flick, it's probably the environment, the pesky military, and all the Indians in the woods.
I loved everything about it; within the Animus. Desmond's aspect was frankly just piss poor, complete let down and for the serie'...
@neogeo
I find it amusing that you would raise the "NERD ALERT!!" over someone reading a book, when playing video games is clearly more, ehem... nerdy.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, as in that case I am certainly a nerd myself then.
I believe new customers of Very also get £30 off their first order, plus you can pay 12-months interest free.
Sony are really on the ball currently with their service; it's the lack of Private or Party Chat on the PS3 that gives the Xbox the edge, though Sony makes up for it with their digital content offerings.
PS+ has come a long way since it first started out, and with new high profile releases being available digitally at release, it's almost the console equivilant to Steam, just with a subscription fee that actually throws content at you.
Microsoft'...
Resident Evil is back! That is all that matters.
Expect to see loads of DLC costume packs
Shit just got real!
Looks pretty damn awesome, to the point where I might just have to finally delve into the first game!
Yup, certainly a game I enjoyed, a bit too cheap in some regards to gameplay. Given it's lack of replay value though it would have better fit in the bracket of 800 points, 1200 is just a bit too steep for my likings.
I would consider it borderline cheating, you're paying for an easy method, which is perhaps similar to looking online for an easy method to beating a boss.
Well, arrogant at launch sums Sony up all too well. It's highly unlikely that they will repeat their mistakes and I expect they'll play it safe.
I do love Sony console hardware though, you know they're always trying to push something new in their to give them an edge one way or another, it's not always to their benefit, but damn, they at least try instead of just pumping out low-mid spec PC in a smaller box.
I would consider myself an early adoptor when it comes to gaming, though have been burnt with numerous Xbox 360 consoles and replacements, no doubt I will end up with the new Xbox, but it will likely be late, as I want to be damn sure it works long-term. As for Sony on the other hand, I consider myself to be queing up already.
I'd have gone with Gears of War over Halo to represent the Xbox this generation, though I am glad to see Uncharted their, as that is PS3's defacto game.
Obviously
I'll miss Ironside's dark tones.
Its a shame North used his Nathan Drake voice.
Ah, don't mind if double-dip on this one.
What this ends up being either way, it looks bloody good.
