I think it would be monumental for a sequel to top the BioShock original, so long as it's close to as good as the original, with all the refinements over the years incorporated, then we should have a truly special title. I have still yet to fire Infinite up as well!
More importantly however, it better be shit loads better than BioShock 2; I consider that gaming's equivilant to film's Unviersal Soldier sequels.
Teases and what not - this game should be nothing short of monstrously satisfying.
Interested as am a big fan of the show and Telltale's game, but it's not sounding good is it? And with the likes of Tomb Raider recently released, and Gears Judgment and BioShock Infinite out this month, I darn't lay my money down on this.
The article drastically shifts direction towards the end. I can certainly see the concern raised though, I'm sure like the Rest of Us (come on!?) that he is hoping for the best.
It's certainly my most anticipated game, well, since Naughty Dog's last release, it's clear that there's huge room for error present, but fingers crossed it all works out.
Looks awesome, especially if this is to be a launch title.
New consoles, roll on. Be interesting to see if Microsoft have a counter to Sony's Gakai acquisition.
I expect this TR reboot will do well, so expect sequels much in similar vein to the Uncharted series, and for Lara's "assets" to grow in the coming sequels.
While more recent games may lose their shine compared to their PC counterpart, besides this bump in detail, resolution and performance, that's not quite a big enough leap. Next-gen needs to not only do that, but do so on an even grander scale.
For example, Dead Space 3 looks pretty damn fine on consoles now, I want to cram bucketloads of Necromorphs 0n-screen and jumping Isaac from all over the place, such as Left 4 Dead numbers.
It'll be interesting to see the quality of the launch line-up, even some dated 5-yr old cards can punch out the bulk of AAA games on highest settings.
Yeah, current PC games should give a good indication of what to expect visually from the next-gen launch line-up. As with current gen, things should get much better with years.
Should have been a man nappy.
Even so, as a console gamer it's interesting to see the differneces, as with next-gen around the corner, I would expect the Xbox/PS4 launch titles to be comparable to today's modern PC games.
Hmm, yes, I remember Kameo being a showpiece for Xbox 360 at launch with its dazzling number of on-screen enemies, game was pretty good as well.
It seems developers are more concerned with cutting back the scope and scale in favour of linear romps that afford them more resources to make a "prettier" game.
There's nothing wrong with a mimic of Uncharted. Considering Uncharted felt like an evolution of Tomb Raider, this TR reboot seems rather fitting.
It might not be unique, especially for PS3 gamers, but if Tomb Raider is half as good as the Uncharted series, then Xbox gamers are in for a huge treat.
Totally agree.
Can't wait to get my hands on the full game! In space, my co-op partner can hear me scream!!

I wonder how long it took before the first COD map appeared.
Max Payne 3 for me, is one of my contenders for Game of the Year. So, naturally I disagree strongly about it being dissapointing. Sure, I would have wished for it to stick more firmly to its original roots, but being on new hardware it was a good time to try and shake things up. Rockstar did an awesome job, a first for them really with a linear action shooter, and they did it damn well.
While I am online the majority of the time, there's occassions where ISP's screw you over and have errors, as well as LIVE's own occassional hiccups. Always-on for DRM/digital content might be fine, I expect to be able to plonk my game discs in and play offline though.
