Totally disagree with all of this.
I don't think it's good value, and so I won't buy it.
Let's say the DLC maps weren't free in matchmaking, well, no one would complain about the Ultimate Edition or Season Pass' value then. If you can recognise it's not a great value proposition, then buy the standard game. If there's fans who want the Ultimate Edition or Pass and are willing to pay a premium for it, then let them.

One thing I never understood with Xbox One is what the 8GB NAND Flash is used for - I always thought it was overkill. People speculate that it was getting used for Game DVR recordings and game resume from stand-by, but my PS4 does this without 8GB NAND Flash.
The only Microsoft response I recall reading on this was that it was being utilised for system notifications and such so to leave the HDD uninterrupted and solely spinning for game data.

Still not done bad as an early adopter. XB1 Day One Edition included Kinect, Day One controller and unique Day One achievement - and also a full value digital game with Forza 5 or FIFA 15.
Backward Compatibility is a huge deal, and all the more impressed it actually remained a pleasant surprise for E3.
I do think Sony are in a position to combat that though. Emulating the 360 console so almost all games can be supported with minimal fuss is big, and given the more complex nature of PS3's architecture it's unlikely to happen for PS4, at least natively.

Forza Horizon 2 is the game I can't put down at the moment. Still waiting on the promised freebie PS+ edition of DriveClub, so can't yet form an opinion on that.
Nintendo can't comprehend the term 'logic'. Afterall, they're a company that prides themselves on being targeted towards children, yet failed to realise the stupidity of their Wii name to English speakers, so much so that they stuck with it a second time for WiiU.
Let's face it, they really botched every aspect of the marketing. By calling it Xbox One, when you know your rival will be called PS4, you're already implying your three steps behind.
They've done a lot to get back on track, and with a slimmer, sleeker console expected this year - I think with Spencer taking the reigns now, they will look to rebrand the Slim as 'Xbox'. It's really the only lasting thing to be rectified now.

Really looking forward to this. And despite the flak Dead Island received, I rather enjoyed it; it was certainly flawed in many areas, but this Dying Light is looking extremely promising.
I get the impression of a mash-up of Dead Island and Left4Dead's versus, trying not to set my expectations too high, but damn we are sure due a decent game that isn't a complete broken mess.
Watch Dogs does some things better but I prefer the lighting in GTA. Plus GTA is a far better game imo.
Looks good, really want to stop buying games for the old systems now though. Surely the likes of Borderlands The Pre-Sequel and AC Rogue will be ported acorss to the new console in due course.

The game is a hell of a lot of fun. It gets a bit too chatoic at times and I need a break on something less intense, like Forza, before I jump back in. For a game I was really unsure about where footage just doesn't do it justice, it really needs to be played first-hand. A demo is sorely needed for the majority to see if it clicks with them.
External drives are relatively inexpensive. I got a Seagate 2TB for £65, 2.5" and all powered over USB 3.0, the Xbox One powers it.
The added benefit of external is I can unplug it, take it to a friends house, plug it into his Xbox, and away we go playing games instantly. And as I buy mostly digital I don't even need to take any discs with me.
Not that I'm knocking the PS4 here, I own one of those too, and do appreciate I can remove the HDD ...

Loved Fallout and this looks in a similar ballpark. Definitely peaked my interest.
