You can definitely tell SE is trying new stuff. Changing it up. Going outside the box with their ideas. It's no secret, SE is attempting to reshape FF and take it in a whole new direction.
One thing SE isnt doing with FF - going back to it's roots. Bold moves, SE...bold moves.

If SSS can do GOW4 and make it a quality game, on the same level as GOW3 if not better...find a way to continue the story of Kratos somehow or pass the torch to a new God Of War...and it would sell like crack in the hood, then whats the big deal? Just one more reason why I dont own a 360 and why I wont own an XB1. When I turn on my PS3, I am greeted with the XMB. There is a small ticker in the upper right corner that scrolls advertisements...but I hardly notice it's there half the time. There are tons of advertisements when you enter the PSN Store...but hey, it's a store...what do you expect? LOL.
I see enough advertisements when Im watching TV and when Im surfing the web. I dont need to see them on my gaming...
I was in Phase 3 Beta on PS3. I loved it. It's very addictive, as you would expect from an MMO. Im gonna buy this game on PS3 and again when it releases on PS4, next year. If I had to pick just one game to keep me busy for hours upon hours on end...it would be FFXIV. Now I sit impatiently, waiting for the open Beta. ^_^
I'd like to see this happen...and if it did I would watch it and back it. Im waiting for one more really good FF7 project, whether it be a game, reboot, movie, cartoon, whatever. And when its finally done and over, I want people to give a standing O applause, appreciate it for what it is, and move on.

Another awesome konami game that would greatly benefit from a 3D reboot, would be the Contra franchise. That's a game that has been trapped in a 2D side scroller prison for decades. This game has the potential to be a really good FPS or even a 3rd person shooter, redesigned in a 3 dimensional environment. It was my favorite game on the NES, next to Castlevania...and I still play the original on my emulator now and then, for past time sake.
