Thats because the Wii U is underpowered in terms of software development. Devs prolly could port next gen (or current gen) titles to the Wii U but because of its hardware limitations and disadvantages...those games are gonna be gimped in some way or another.
And if I was a software dev myself, I wouldnt wanna waste my time, money and resources trying to make a weaker, watered down version of a next gen game...just so the Wii U can have a little love.
Now, if ...
I dont hate rival companies, nor do I want to see them fail or go under.
I just wanna see them get their crap together. Stop making bad business decisions. Stop with the bad PR. Stop ignoring consumer feedback in favor of what THEY wanna do. Keep up with the Jonses. If you KNOW that your competitors are gearing up for the next gen and are in R&D...you better get with the times and follow suit with something on equal grounds. Stop riding on the coattails of past gimmicks....

LOL Well...that didnt take long.
It's awesome.

We already have a hit sci fi tv series. It's called falling skies.
I second that ^^

No...
Dont compare a console to a handheld. Thats idiotic.
So what if the Vita isnt doing so well, right now? It's a handheld. Consoles take priority over handhelds any day. It still doesnt change the fact that the Wii U is dead in the water, right now. And this holiday season, the Wii U wont be in direct competition with a handheld, fool...it'll be in direct competition with 2 major next gen consoles.
Sony also has their TV, music and movie departments to fall back on...not to mention, they lumped PS2, PSP, Vita and PS3 sales in together. Despite any shortcomings the PS3 may have had, they are on top right now.
Nintendo is strictly just a console/handheld/software industry. They have no other resources to fall back on. So when theyre done - THEYRE DONE.
You cant realistically compare Nintendo to Sony or the PS3 to the Wii U and try to use that as a valid...
The PS3 was also $500-600.00 at launch, too. Not a lot of people could afford one, during the 1st year. This was the main contributing factor behind why it didnt do so well during that year, untill price cuts came.
Unlike Nintendo...Sony wasnt copying & pasting the PS3 from the PS2. The differences between the 2 systems are night and day, a few being: BluRay technology, Blutooth technology, an online internet based network and high definition resolutions.
Sony SHOULD be focusing on the PS4. It's their next gen console. Console support should ALWAYS come before handheld support. Especially if youre primarily in the CONSOLE industry.
Just because Nintendo is making bad business decisions, doesnt mean we ALL lose. The Vita on the other hand...will pick up once the PS4 launches, as it will give the Vita new functionality and purpose.
Cant exactly say that for the Wii U...
Doubt it.
Nintendo is too busy focusing on the 3DS.
Mobile gaming is a joke, whether its on an android phone, iOS tablet, or iPhone.
Have you seen the stats of next gen consoles? Are you kidding me? And youre worried that someday in the near future, that a phone or tablet will dominate over a console? LOLOLOLOL Thats funny.
Hey hey...maybe calculators, dishwashers and microwaves will dominate consoles too. LOLOL
Oh man. I got a GOOD laugh off that. Thanks bro. xD
No, whats even more ridiculous is Wii U and Nintendo fanboys who are living in a reassuring state of denial.
Misleading.
This article doesnt give one single reason for Sony and MS to worry...let alone 160,000.
If anything, it doubles down on the fact that the Wii U is dying a slow and painful (and embarrassing) death.
Price cuts will come next, in order to offer any relevant competition for Sony and MS, this holiday season...but it wont be enough. Im sure everyone remembers how it was when PS3 and 360 launched, right? People lining up at stores, ...
Good! They've done enough damage. The last thing they need, is another idiot spokesperson speaking for MS. The nightmare that was Don Mattrick was a PR disaster. LOL
So you would rather a panel of developers LIE to you and sugar coat it, just because of nationality?
It doesnt matter what country youre from or what country youre in or what your skin color is. If youre a developer, you should be able to take the sting of criticism. Same goes for movie producers and directors.
Simon Cowell from the former American Idol, had no problems telling people they suck, lol.
The video game industry, like most enter...
Youre judging the man based on his previous behavior and his blunt comments, instead of accepting the facts for what they are.
His behavior and demeanor pale in comparison when the entire panel had his back and agreed with him. This isnt just another epic "Phish meltdown moment"...this is coming from an entire panel of people who feel the same way.
Turn your noses up at it all you want...but what they said about Japanese games, for the most part.....
Oh yes...because everyone is totally gonna trample over eachother to buy a Wii U, just so they can hack it and install WiiBrew onto it. /s <--- Implied Sarcasm.
Hint: It wasnt the hacks that saved the Wii. It was the motion wand gimmick and casual games.
