"When is a remake necessary?"
When the franchise and all it's story arcs has officially ended. THEN...you can go back and do remakes.
The funny thing is...
Before Gen 8 was even announced, I remember everyone saying "I dont want new tech. PS3 and 360 are still in their prime. Look at the great games like Uncharted and Halo. This gen still has a lot of life in it and can go another 3-5 years. It's too early for new hardware. Im happy with my PS3 and 360 and Wii. Next gen consoles can wait..."
Now everyone is singing a totally different tune, huh? LOL
#HomeOnPS4
Look for us on Twitter, Facebook and other sites. We are trying to create a voice loud enough to be heard by Sony, so that we may provoke a resoponse to the question: "Will there be a HOME on PS4?" Thousands of Home users have invested their time, money and loyalty to a service that's over 4 years old. We deserve an answer.
We are fighting to see a #HomeOnPS4 and thats all were concerned about. We do not let those who feel negativit...
@MASTERDON
Johnathan Blow, creator of Braid and former 360 developer, has this to say...
"I can spin up 10,000 virtual servers per host. They would just all suck."
"Saying 300k when they are virtual is a lie."
He didn't stop there, tweeting that the supposed physics and lighting improvements from cloud processing is "More cloud processing BS."
I would take the reputable word ...
To provide you with a stable, secure and functional system.
I dont understand why this concept is so hard to grasp...
GamerzElite is correct.
During PSN maintenance, the 3 main services that go down are the PSN store, Account management and Playstation Home.
You are still able to play online, surf the web and sign into PSN (As long as you have been signed into PSN 5 days previous to said maintenance)
Rare or not, the 360 STILL undergoes maintenance periods and you will STILL have to deal with them...even if it's twice a year.
If you...
I believe the $380 million Sony paid for the Gaikai cloud technology will keep the XBox One on it's toes.
Youre livin a dream, if you think Sony will not match Microsoft's servers with dedicated servers of it's own.
Apparently, you dont understand how this works.
ALL consoles receive maintenance and firmware upgrades on a perpetual schedule. Your consoles need them to continue to function properly and more effeciently. They help to improve system stability, neutralize bugs and glitches and increase security. We are at a point in the console industry, where our video game machines are beginning to closely resemble computers, in many ways. GONE are the days of just putting a disc in and pl...
"Hopefully it's all locked down nice and tight to ward off pirates."
Wouldnt bet on it. If man designed it....man can defeat it. It just takes time...
MEOWOOKEN! Lmao
Well, Im gonna disagree with the majority here.
I want GOW4 on the PS4. Maybe not at launch, but at some point, it needs to happen. In true sequel form...no more prequels or backstories. It is a phenomenal franchise and SSM has done very well with it. Theres no reason why they should back burner kratos for other IP's. They could have team A do GOW4 and team B do another IP, simuultaenously.
Guns don't kill people.
I have never, in my life...seen a gun load itself, cock itself and pull it's own trigger to be responsible for someone's death. It CAN be used to kill someone, sure...but so can a sharpened #2 pencil, if I jab it into a person's neck. So can a brick, if I use it to bash someones brains in. So can a rolled up newspaper, if I thrust it into someones throat.
People kill people. You blame the murderer...not the instrument o...
"Xbox One is trying to revolutionize entertainment consumption. For people who don’t want these amazing additions, like Don said we have a console for that and it’s called Xbox 360."
Apparently, they still dont get it. You dont tell your client base and consumers that "If you dont like the XBox One, then buy a 360." A LOT of people took this as a SLAP in the face. These are YOUR PEOPLE, YOUR FANS, YOUR CONSUMERS. These are the people who make or break you...
LOL Nice.
Now I bet someone hacks it to play NES games. Ha ha ha

Keep in mind, that 21.4% of the US population does NOT have an internet connection. And THAT'S just in the US alone...

XBox One No Longer Requires Online Connection...
Let's examine this for a sec.
Let's say (for example) that I had no internet connection in my home. Nor do I want one. Im old fashioned and set in my ways, but Im a gamer nonetheless. I buy the XBox One this fall, unbox it, hook it all up...then what?
The XBox One will require a "day one patch" that you will need to download and install before you can operate or play on your X...
Dont kid yourselves.
They didnt lift the DRM for us. They did it cuz it was costing them money. People were going to PS4. Amazon orders were blowing up with PS4 preorders. Gamestop stock/sales were decreasing for Microsoft. They were getting VERY BAD feedback from the consumers and press.
They think that by dropping DRM and 24 hour authentications, that they can actually compete with PS4.
It's gonna take a LOT more than that, Microsoft...
Kinect turned off does not = disconnected.
Turing the device off simply isnt enough. People want the ability to unplug the kinect from the console AND still use their XBox One.
Why do people not understand this? o_O
"Just like how Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix successfully did with the rebooted Tomb Raider."
Agreed. Look what MercurySteam did with Castlevania. Konami took a leap of faith, with that franchise by offering to let MS reboot it as a new IP, and ever since the game and it's upcoming sequel have been phenomenal. Check it out...
"Konami told MercurySteam the game would be an original intellectual property (IP) when it was first greenlit as a Ca...
