The Wii U was released on Nov 18th, 2012.

They've had nearly a whole year to make waves and splashes, and in this time...we've seen nothing of the kind from the Wii U.

Don't gimmie that crap. This isnt a temporary phase Nintendo is going thru. If anything, sales are going to continue to drop (despite their 4% stock increase) when Sony and MS launches, this fall.

Maybe one of these days, Nintendo will pull their head out and get...

But, but, but...Nintendo's stock rose 4%. That must mean theyre doing really, really well...right? /s LOL

It may not be dead...but it sure as hell is on life support, at the moment.

And this is the price Nintendo will pay for not creating a console to compete with Sony and MS. They wanna act like they have no competition and that they dont have to keep up with current tech? Okay. We'll see the Wii U take a hit on sales as soon as the PS4 and XB1 launches. Mark my words on that.

Nintendo: I wanna be an individual and do my own thing. I dont care what Sony and...

Not true.

There are plenty of people who care about their friends list and how many people they can add to it. So many people tend to forget the fact that we are in a social age...where we have bloggers, facebook and twitter addicts, youtube authors. Gamers are becoming more social. They like playing games with their friends, online. Talking to them. Setting up clans.

It does seem like overkill, but at least we wont be complaining to Sony to up the ammount o...

Next gen consoles will have a party chat feature. Sony recently announced this. So "voiceless multiplayer" games are no longer a growing concern. We will have voice and text chat capabilities...whether the devs incorporate it into their games or not.

Well, lucky for all Sony gamers...we get both; a great OS and great games. So the hypothetical question of which would you prefer more...is irrelevant. It just serves to create controversy over various, differing opinions and preferences. And to that degree, the article in question...has been successful.

As a gamer and admitted Sony fanboy, I do want the best possible games the machine can produce, with today's current tech. And I am satisfied and confident that even wit...

Next gen games are already "better"...just by sheer technical evolution. They dont need to reserve every single GB of RAM for the games for the end user to fully enjoy their experience. Having an efficient OS is equally important with today's consoles, whether you want to acknowledge it or not. And I can guarantee you that if Sony gave the PS4 a shitty OS in order to allocate extra RAM for the games and just made it strictly a gaming console....it wouldnt sell as well, let alone...

This isnt "back in the day" tho.

Technology evolves over time. Video game consoles evolve over time. Video games evolve over time. The more evolved these consoles get, the more STUFF they're gonna be able to do.

With today's standard for gaming, social interaction is a fundamental necessity. Having party chat, text chat, voice and video chat. Being able to talk to your friends during games or even when your'e not playing a game. People...

Lazy has nothing to do with it, Monkey.

It all comes down to a matter of convenience for the user, and how or if Sony can simplify our experience as a gamer. When CD manufacturers invented the 5 (multiple) disc CD changer, it wasn't a matter of laziness back then, either. People didn't wanna have to get up and swap out discs everytime one had finished playing. Technology evolves to accommodate convenience. It's that simple.

I shouldn't have ...

The thing is...

SOME of us dont want to hold onto old consoles, till the end of time, just to play older games. The "usual" gamer is not gonna have an NES, SNES, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS4 and an XBox One all sitting beside their TV.

When talking about JUST the PlayStation brand alone, it would be more convenient to retain backward compatibility from previous gen consols and have that implemented into the P...

Apparently, even 5.5GB of RAM is enough (although I call BS on the legitmacy of the article and source) if the dev's are "scratching their heads on what to do with it all"

Microsoft FINALLY get's something right, with the XBox One.

That being said, I'm for Team Sony and Im STILL getting a PS4 over an XB1. I just wanted to give props. I may be a fanboy, but Im not a stupid fanboy. ^_-

Woo Hoo! Once again, PC elitists can suck it! LOL

That's ok. I and many others will be lining up on launch day, to Beta test the PS4. We still have a few months to save up $400-$500 and there are still plenty of GOOD reasons to preorder and be one of the first to get your hands on a PS4.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to wait, tho.

The 3DS is not a console, for one thing.

It's a handheld. And we do not compare handhelds to consoles.
