Square Enix did say that following the maintenance there would be a severe login restriction that will be lifted gradually. It will take time to open everything up.

And still no digital version in the PS/PC Store. We were told digital sales would be reinstated once the maintenance was over.
So just how many days are they gonna make us wait, untill we can download the digital copy? o_O

The article pretty much explains what happened and why. After the disaster that FFXIV 1.0 was...Square-Eninx wasnt expecting too many people to rush right in, a second time around. They seriously thought everyone hated the game so much, that the user base for FFXIV AAR would be a lot smaller. Simply put...they made the wrong assumption and just wasnt prepared for the explosive launch this game had.

1) Theyre only releasing in 13 countries, out of 21 initially.

Well, lets put it like this:
When I had my jailbroken PS3, I was going to rental stores...renting like 10 PS3 games at a time and ripping them to my external HDD. Would also PLAY them from my external HDD.
Something like this just makes piracy, that much easier when the PS4 gets hacked; and trust me...it WILL get hacked and you WILL see homebrew, emulators and media managers on it. Might take some time, but it'll happen.
Heres a question, hopefully someone here can help answer for me...
I have a 1TB Seagate Desk Adapter USB 3.0 external HDD, that I currently use for all my media needs (movies, music, etc) on my PS3. It's been working just fine, since day one. I love it. But will it work on the PS4? Thats 1TB of my life...and if for some reason, it wont work or is incompatible...Im gonna lose it. LOL
So...will this work on the PS4 as well? o_O
I have the turtle beach px21 headset, I bought for my PS3 and it works just fine via USB. Will I be able to use them on the PS4 as well? o_O
You cannot equate difficulty to casual games and pass them off as being AAA hardcore titles. Thats not how this works.

Nope. They could give it away for free and I wouldnt want that paperweight.
If Nintendo wouldve produced a true next gen console, on par with PS4 and XBox One, with equal tech, gained the respect of the developers, fired some people and hired new blood, and started making new IP's comparable to it's competition, instead of catering to the casuals...then and ONLY then would I consider buying a Wii U.

Nintendo has ALWAYS targeted the younger audiences. Something I have come to dislike them for. You have teens, young adults and grown men and women gamers out there...and Nintendo can only seem to cater to the children with games like Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong. I am 33 years old, man...I played all that crap back in the 80's and 90's. There comes a time when people who were once kids, grow up and grow OUT of those kinds of games, into something more...mature.

In essence, Nintendo doesnt take it's competition seriously. They dont think that the next gen console launches will even hurt their sales figures or profits, in the slightest. I prefer NEW and innovative IP's, a console with a variety of platformers, racers, simulators, MMO's, RPG's and FPS.
PS4 and XB1 may have a weak lineup at launch, but I would take Knackk, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Ryse and Fighter Within over Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong...any day of the week.

I came from another previous Wii U article where all the Wii U fanboys were trying to say that the Wii U could run AAA title games both on current gen consoles and next gen consoles. Like GTA 5, MMO's like FFXIV and Elder Scrolls Online and Gran Turismo 6...Infamous Second Son and Titanfall.

For many of us, an answer on when digital sales will resume on PC/PS3 would be nice. You can post all the info in the world about this game, review it, post a FAQ, walkthrus, etc...but if I cant even buy the game, it may all be worthless info to me, right now. So I dont really wanna hear anything else about this game, unless it's an update on the digital sales.
