I just read the book to my copy of Final Fantasy 13-2 and the only selling that it seems to mention that is wrong is the selling of unauthorized reproductions (Illegal copies). It says nothing about selling the original copy.
You don't rent the rights to play. You buy them. If I want to give my rights to someone else, I can.
I don't even know why people keep comparing this to steam. Steam gives you deals and sells you games for low prices, sometimes you can even get certain things for free. I doubt you will see the low prices you see on steam on the One. Microsoft wants to get more money out of you, digital copies on Live almost always cost more than physical ones.
I don't think Walmart participates in selling used games and consoles. The one near me doesn't do it anyways.
"They have contributed more to gaming than any company."
Really now? Ever hear of the name Atari?
Well, they made it clear that the One wasn't for the hardcore gamers. They want to attract the casual crowd. They're obviously going to add a bunch of Kinect games into the mix to carry that out.
I like how they brought back some of the survival horror aspects we loved from the first couple of games. It has action but they find a balance, unlike RE5.
Why don't you just do what Cartman did and freeze yourself until the release of the console. It almost worked for him.
The GameCube was not big.
I feel bad for the people who buy it and find out that it only supports HDMI. Can you imagine buying a console and it not even supporting your TV?
"No way Microsoft does this if they know their completion isn't. It would be suicide"
That still makes no sense. As I stated before, Nintendo isn't doing it.
How are yo so sure Sony will do it? Just because MS does it doesn't mean others will follow. Look at Nintendo.
I know. Can't wait for this. Loved Lollipop Chainsaw.
I actually read the article and it includes more than a game. It include the following:
"Just announced by the company as the world's most expensive video game, the unique GRID 2: Mono Edition is available for pre-order with a price tag of $190,000. The would-be purchaser would get more than just the game, however, as it also includes a PlayStation 3 on which to play it, an actual 170mph BAC Mono supercar sporting a GRID 2 livery, a day at the BAC factory incl...
Just because MS is doing it doesn't mean other companies will. By your logic, the WiiU should be charging us fees and forcing us to be connected. Why isn't Nintendo doing it?
I know what you mean. I used to be a MS fan. It feels good to be on the dark side of the force.
Don't follow in Microsofts footsteps with the Used game fees and the online requirements. Look at the boost in sales the WiiU got after the MS announcement.
It's not like if GameStop wasn't here the Devs and Publishers would have gotten more money. People would sell and trade games with each other if GameStop was there or not.
I know. I was watching the review Adam Sessler had with someone at MS and I watched the man say that there was a fee.
That's my plan too. If all else fails, I'm buying a WiiU.
