The point is that Sony isn't trying to shove all of the entertainment crap down our throats at once. So what if the game focus is PR crap. At least they listen to gamers and know that's what we want to hear about, unlike Microsoft.
Gamers aren't mad that Microsoft want to implement entertainment features. We're mad the MS treated us like stepping stones and threw us on the back burner so they could cater to the casual crowd instead.

You can beat any FF game by just mashing buttons. All you have to do is grind a little and you can blow through the games with no problem.

I know what you're saying, especially in the FF7 die hards part. Too many people are quick to diss a FF game just because it's "not like 7". I've played every FF and IMHO number 6 was the best.
13 may not be the best FF but it was not as bad as people claim. People just love hopping on bandwagons.
I don't know where you've been. There have been playing plenty of people on here that has expressed their disappointment with the PS4 not being backwards compatible.
Also, needing internet to use Gaika and having to be connected to the Internet every 24 hours is completely different.
