No doubt, Female lead, DOA. Just like how Tomb Raider for over the past 2 decades and Neir Automata have been poor sellers & complete failures... #SMH
I'm not sure it was consumers being tired and confused. When the largest player in the rental business refuses to carry your games it's kind of a killer as well. Scratch that, you're DOA. Especially at that time. Blockbuster refused to stock Saturn games. For kids and parents who, at the time, often relied on rentals, this was detrimental. When I learned this my Saturn went to collecting dust and the Playstation being my primary console. Granted I still bought the occasional Satur...
Indeed. I love my Playstation consoles and gaming but...
PS3-1080P. We know it took several years to even get some games running full 1080P. Multi-plat. Forget about it. PS4-1080P. Still not all games were running 1080P. PS4 Pro - 4k. Though not native it does checkerboard to 4k and looks good. I'm certainly happy I upgraded to a Pro but it's still not native.
I'd imagine at the very best we're looking at true 4k games using the checkerb...
not likely. My guess would be some unknown player. Possibly a big investor who already holds a ton of shares in Nintendo or a group [hedge fund] who make the push. A major player is highly unlikely to go hostile. 2 cents
Wildlands was great playing with friends. Had I played the entire game by myself it wouldn't have been half as good or fun. When they weren't playing I'd just hop around doing those mindless things Ubi includes in all their games; ie collectibles and such. The theme was great, location was great but everything else was forgettable...
Personally I don't like the look of Break Point. However, depending on what's dropping and what I'm playing come Octob...
15 straight years with an annual title. Yep, can't take a break. The biggest problem is they have no incentive to give this franchise a break since it continually sells well. Even the years the game doesn't sell like gang busters they likely make up for it with Season Passes and MTs.
15 straight years with an annual title. Some of these kids don't even remember COD 1, 2 or 3 because they weren't even born yet. That's a long run. I'd be hard pressed ...
honestly, much as I hate EA I'd hate to see them go under. Not least of which to be considered is just how many developers and other staff they do employ. What EA needs is a boss who can actually do things right not just for the company & investors but for the developers and gamers as well.
EA has always been EA except for that brief period in time in which they created Visceral, released games like Dead Space [x3], Mirrors Edge and were legit trying to be a gamers...
@nucky64
molotov cocktails and a SAF I picked up early on. Matter of fact I used the SAF until I reached Level 2 Trust and bought a couple weapons. Kind of didn't want to give it up. Think I have the MWS equipped now but I haven't used it. Single enemies I usually just melee and camps I sneak as best I can through them for stealth kills.
side note: Just took out my second swarm. Didn't fire a single shot. Used Molotovs, a couple Pipe Bombs a...
for sure. I beat my first Horde right away. Before even going to get the Stash or unlocking a skill. Not sure how many missions I had played but I know dam well it wasn't many.
I get what you're saying but in regards to this.... The Lead Creators jobs are likely done. Time for them to move onto a new project. There's only so many roles, jobs and people you need on a game once it's launched. Now it's time for the rest of the team to develop and continue what the creators have already put down. At the same time, definitely, I don't see EA or Bioware being able to take the time and resources to bounce back with Anthem. This game was never ready to s...
Here's the big difference when you take a game like HZD and compare it to Days Gone. Guerrilla Games has worked on Playstation for quite some time and released KZ Shadowfall (?) on PS4. Bend Studios has done a great job on Sony platforms, Vita, but this is their first big budget PS4 title. Look back at Killzone. It was a wonderful game that got crapped on but Guerrilla Games learned and improved KZ2 and KZ3. While KZ was a solid game KZ2 and KZ3 were phenomenal games.

Wouldn't call Twilight Princess realistic but I wouldn't mind if they back to that look graphically for the next game. I think that's a good blend of semi realism and artistic/cartoony. Obviously there's also a place for cell shaded, cartoony, etc... But I think another semi realistic Zelda would be a good style for the next zelda.
I don't care what people think or say. Ubi games are not RPGs. They take RPG elements and infuse them into shooters and action/adventure games. I mean if we want to get technical all games are an RPG in the sense that you "Role Play" as particular character/s.
You are right though. RPGs don't come with a large return normally. The expected sales figures are typically low. There are the exceptions like Final Fantasy and I believe Dragon Quest XI finally sol...
Nope. There are Instant Classics and everything else such as great, good, mediocre, bad, atrocious, etc. I think too often people refer to Instant Classics as Flawless. When technically speaking there will never be a video game that is truly flawless. There's always going to some things there. So the people who write gaming articles really need to get this into their heads. Instant Classics!!
Breath of Fire!! Seriously tho, all 3 are true classics.
@ Sharky231
that's exactly it. With any game there's going to be things one can nit pick about but at the end of the day they're all still dam good-great games. It's just that everyone has different expectations, preferences, etc and no game will ever be flawless.
STFU With this BS!
I read an article last night regarding the actual mapping of Notre Dame that took place several years ago by a art historian. It's accurate w/in a MM. That along with blueprints from additional work to the Cathedral are likely what will be used to actually recreate the ceiling.
It's crazy how recent the mapping took place and then for this to happen. However, like monuments across the World these world treasures don't get the care and maintenance they need. Acc...
Surely I'm missing several but off the top of my head... Scalebound and Starcraft Ghosts.
true. they were the ones to make several series popular outside Japan, as a publisher, but many of those games/franchises have become self published now or published by someone else. Games from Idea Factory, etc. They had become more a publisher than developer as 99% of their games were probably publishing deals.
The original Disgaea was phenomenal and one reason I supported and played a lot of the games NISA was bringing over for a while. If true I hope they can recover. ...
