@cp-company
People aren’t “delusional” for thinking Zelda BotW is a fantastic game. That’s just an absurd mentality. Also, “bombed with minuses”...I’m sure I’d be downvoted heavily if I criticized horizon this same way.
@soulstorm
Well almost all the mechanics you listed are there to be judged on. There is a story, character building, dungeons, etc. It seems that you just think they are so weak they are practically nonexistent, which is...
This comment seems very riddled with both extreme negativity and hyperbolic statements. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but I vehemently disagree with almost everything you've said here.
@AspiringProGenji
I didn't even want an E3. All I wanted were release dates.
During PSX they kept saying it was the biggest PSX ever. Especially at the beginning. That got me hyped again. I'm pretty disappointed. I just wanted solid release dates for their already great 2018 lineup.
It was definitely Nintendo’s turn to shine this year. They’ve been absent for the past few years, so it’s great to see them doing great again!
@jaguarevolved
“Horrid performance issues”
What horrid performance issues? Do you mean a few frame drops?
Examples of games with frame drops matching or exceeding BOTW frame drops that were praised:
-Bloodborne
-Skyrim
-The Last of Us
-GTA IV
-GTAV
-The Witcher 3
Regarding graphics, we all know that the Switch and Wii U aren’t powerful systems. You judge ...
I think Odyssey won a Family friendly award or something. That's about it.
Congratulations Nintendo and Eiji. Well deserved.
It seems that there are many people, such as critics and developers, that disagree with you.
I'm glad that Nintendo is still interested in this franchise!

Sorry about the broken link. It cut off when I originally posted it for some reason.

Exactly.
I think this means that PS4 has topped the 3DS in sales, making it officially the best selling gaming device this generation.
The only reason this didn’t happen sooner was the 3DS’s 2 year headstart.
Power doesn't matter with handhelds...or home consoles for that matter. Games matter, and Nintendo's handhelds have been unmatched in quality of games on handheld systems, with the only close competitor being Sony's PSP.
It's likely that the Switch will surpass the PS4 in aligned sales after this holiday. It will be that way for a few months, then PS4 aligned sales will sharply spike putting it in the lead.
Each spike will coincide with the systems holiday season, naturally.
It’s very interesting how the DS had quite a slow start, but ended up becoming the second best selling game system ever.
I’m okay with a durability system, but have some weapons break forever and other weapons have a repair ability. They touched on this idea a bit in breath of the wild with the champion weapons, but they need to increase the durability of them a bit more significantly, and you shouldn’t have to go to one particular shop to repair them.
