“Force the buyers on the new system”
Jesus, what’d they do, hold a gun to their head? “Upgrade to a Switch or your family gets it”
@EDMIX
358/2 and Re:Coded aren’t available as games in the KH collection on PS4...
Also, I’m not being immature. I’m just calling you out on your blatant and rampant fanboyism. Immaturity is harassing people like michellynn through chat like you have repeatedly. Calling her derogatory names and expletives. THATS immaturity. Why you haven’t been banned yet is beyond me.
As for the rest of your points, there are entries of Monster Hunter ...
@EDMIX
You’re right, they didn’t exist then. The Switch didn’t exist when any of the games Lime mentioned started their development either. So...what’s your point?
Also, I’ve played all the KH games already. I’m a multisystem owner and have no problem buying Sony, MS, or Nintendo consoles. I’m, also, not a fanboy, unlike yourself.
Btw, not all KH games are available on Sony consoles. If you actually played through them all or owned 1.5,...
I’ve seen many Sony fanboys hope a game flops. Especially when it’s on an Xbox. I’ve seen Xbox fans do the same.
Anyone who hopes a game flops just because it isn’t on their console of choice is ridiculous.
PS4 didn’t get any of those titles until 3 years into its life cycle, and still doesn’t quite have them all anyway...
Pretty sure Switch will do fine waiting for a bit.
Nintendo doesn’t have to provide a spec sheet for unlicensed products, only licensed ones.
EDMIX, your response to gemmol is wrong. He provided evidence of certain USB-C connectors hurting phones. Want to know what the Switch connects to the dock with?...USB-C.
36% of developers said that they were interested in developing for Switch. Compare that to the 39% for PS4 and 28% for Xbox One. It’s looking pretty good.
Significant increase in the amount of Switch games being worked on as well, in comparison to last year.
Yes he praised it as a Zelda fan, but the question he was asked was about open world games as a whole. Not sure your point here. Everyone here seems to be a fan of Zelda, and this game designer feels that this entry changed what the series meant for him. It’s evidence of praise, were you looking for evidence of something else?
Well, in the same interview, an Assassins Creed dev is also praising the game, saying that Zelda’s impact will set the expectation of “the ability t...
@Teflon
What problems? Frame rate? The Last of Us and Witcher 3 had frame rate problems at launch yet they scored high too.
Not sure what you are talking about regarding Ni No Kuni 2. Those are two different types of games.
I was going to comment something constructive, but then I saw this
“They over rate Nintendo products this time to give PS4 a sort of "healthy competition" but in an artificial way. ”
Then I realized you’re just a fanboy, and there would be no reasoning with you anyway.
To answer your points:
It isn’t just what one person thinks. Many developers have gone on the record to praise how great the game is, and even comment on its impact on games down the line.
Why are sales being brought up at all? First you are comparing a game that’s on three different platforms all with multiple times bigger install bases than either the Wii U and Switch, second sales for a product don’t make it any less or more innovative. Not to mention,...
“Would Breath of the Wild receive as much praise as it did if it wasn’t a Zelda game?”
Yes, absolutely it would receive the same praise. And it wouldn’t be as controversial either.
@Jon
PS2 emulation is difficult because of the Emotion Engine, not because of power.
You don’t necessarily need a drastically more powerful GPU or CPU, you just need an efficient emulator. Unfortunately, many emulators aren’t efficient and need drastic amounts of overhead. The more complicated the emulation, the more overhead needed.
This is why GameCube emulators (and even Wii emulators) are functionally better than PS2 emulators de...
IMO, the first Witcher wasn’t that great. Also, there have been a multitude of let-downs for The Elder Scrolls series. Sure they aren’t main installments, but they are still there.
Sony has tried to sue emulators before, and each case they took to court they lost. Look up Sony v. Connectix and Sony v. Bleem.
Also, always online may not work as a deterrent, as there are emulators that can connect to servers as well. Such as Dolphin.
PS4 would likely be relatively easier to develop an emulator for, since it doesn’t have to deal with emulating six or seven different SPE’s in addition to everything else.
How did you forget Hideo Kojima? :P He is quite possibly THE auteur video game creator. Probably because he derives his projects much more like a filmmaker than any other developer I know of.
@LP
Even if the comparison is flawed it sets up the point I’m trying to make.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that the general assumption here is that all games Nintendo made on Switch were going to be Wii U games before. There is no evidence for this (in fact there is evidence against).
Also, aside from BotW, all of those Switch games I am talking about were only shown for Switch as well. They were never shown for Wii U. Just like Uncharte...

I could see Reggie holding an NES Zapper against someone’s head while smoking a cigar for sure.
