Just because one game was a Wii U game that was delayed and came on Switch doesn't mean all games were. It's like saying that Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, and Infamous: Second Son were all original planned for the PS3 because The Last Guardian was originally planned for the PS3.
Most games weren’t ported from the Wii U, you know that right?

A few corrections here,
PSP was 480 x 272, 480p is actually 640 x 480.
PsVita is actually 544p (960 x 544). 720p is 1280 x 720.
The 3DS has a max resolution of 800 x 240, though it’s halved to 400 x 240 when 3D is on. Still significantly less than the Vita though.

For the beginning of this generation most of the games on both consoles were exactly the same, with a few exclusives here and there. This is why resolution differences were talked about so heavily, because game libraries were so similar.
Now the game libraries are much more different, in part because many third party studios are making exclusive content for PS4. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how different the Switch’s library is from eith...

Even if you account for power, you aren’t accounting for optimization. If you make a console that plays PS4 games you either have to make it with PS4 hardware, or port the games over to the new hardware. I suppose you could also emulate the games, but then the system would have to be significantly more powerful than a stock PS4.
Not to mention the cost for hardware and space issues. AAA PS4 games are an average of 50GB, that’s a whole lot of SD car...
I think what your saying would be nice, but is unrealistic at this point in time.

Because the PC install base that consistently plays games isn’t as big as people think it is.
You can’t just count active Steam accounts, because there is no cost to having a steam account and anyone can make one.
You can’t look at the install base on PC the same way you can traditional consoles, as PCs are a home utility too.
I hope it is. Cloud saves and proper voice chat is all I really want. Anything more is definitely welcome though.
It does matter what they are charging. You can’t very well expect a 20$/year service to be the same in quality to a 60$/year service.

To be fair, Microsoft helped Sega with their online infrastructure on the Dreamcast.
Cloud and Snake weren't in Playstation All Stars, yet they made it in Smash. Never say never!
Aside from additional storage at some point in time, none of those are a necessity.
Well they just went on record to say that they want to support the Switch for much longer than their traditional home consoles 5-6 year lifespan, so that's good.
