@phoenix

Sure, and all games can be good. Doesn’t mean they are.

Gameplay is more critical, but graphics aren’t unimportant.

2591d ago 11 agree0 disagreeView comment

Because sometimes a game is mostly just pretty graphics. As if the developers put all of the work into the graphics without any consideration for how fun it actually is.

A fun game is fun for “forever”, but graphics are only good for so long.

Portability is great for RPG’s because a lot of them are huge time sinks.

You should fix your keyboard.

Nobody is saying the Vita or remote play isn’t a portable option. There are just some stark limitations to the method. It simply isn’t as good of a portable option.

The surface pro? Yeah, that’s a good option. From there you have the bulk/affordability vs. flexibility/power argument.

Your Netflix example is an invalid analogy.

“People have the right..”

Okay, NEVER said you didn’t have a right. But if you WANT these articles to go away then avoid them. Otherwise you’re just fueling them.

I’m not sure what party chat has to do with this. Do you need party chat to play FFXII? I mean, I don’t like the Switch’s party chat solution, but I don’t really see the relevance. You’d need internet for party chat on any device regardless.

If your mobile phone plan has unlimited data and the bandwidth is good enough on the hotspot go for it! In my experience with my vita, remote play doesn’t work well with my hot spot. Yeah it totally is an o...

It requires internet connection for remote play.. While it’s “portable” you’re still tethered heavily.

It’s not just you, it’s you and all other people who don’t appreciate the opinion of the author. This is the fourth article I’ve seen like this and the majority of people commenting are people who dislike the opinion. If all of those people were to avoid the article it’d suddenly disappear from the most heated section.

Just ignore it then. The more you comment and/or click on the article the more they gain traction.

@The Wood

Because their sales are consistent. If they weren’t publishers and developers wouldn’t make very many exclusive games for them.

@knushwood

See, this is what I dislike about you biased individuals. No matter the evidence brought against you, you still stick to your original statement. Even though it’s been proven incorrect.

Also, yes collectibles can add a layer of depth. That’s why many games have collectibles. From God of War to Breath of the Wild to Horizon Zero Dawn. Yoshi having them is no surprise. Especially the way they implemented them.

@Knushwood

I don't see what's funny about that.

Here is where they criticize it's originality: "I still had plenty of fun along the way getting to that point, it’s just an extremely predictable game in a time where Nintendo has been impressing us with innovation." - IGN

Here is where they criticize the multiplayer: "Well, I’m sorry to say this, but the multiplayer in Crafted World is not designed well."...

@knushwood

Difficulty wasn’t the only thing that was criticized. Go read the multitude of reviews available and come back later.

2596d ago 1 agree8 disagreeView comment

@Knushwood

Yoshi averaged a 79 on Metacritic, but you talk of it as if it wasn’t criticized at all. Obviously it was criticized for various aspects (such as difficulty) otherwise it’d be in the 90’s range.

Also, you can choose a purple Yoshi if you want. As well as seven other colors.

2596d ago 1 agree8 disagreeView comment

It wouldn’t have gotten a lot of those games without the sales though.

2596d ago 2 agree5 disagreeView comment

So when an MS game doesn’t review incredibly their games are just genuinely poor, but if a Sony game doesn't review incredibly well it just “isn’t the case”?

That’s called bias.

2596d ago 10 agree17 disagreeView comment

It’s not bad, but when it comes to dedicating your time and energy a 7 might not be enough.

That being said, there are lots of games that averaged in the 70’s that I’ve enjoyed a lot. Like Kirby: Star Allies, Quantum Break, and DriveClub. A review is something to read and help you decide, but you’ll never know if you actually like/dislike a game until you try it.
