RDR, GTA IV, MGS4, UC2, CoD4, Bioshock, Demon Souls, inFamous, Gears of War 1, Killzone 2, DAO, ME, ME2, Arkham Asylum, AC2 and Skyrim are the main games that I loved this gen. The game out of all them that I enjoyed the most was GTA IV. Sure you might think I'm crazy but its my opinion and I think that GTA IV gets too much criticism from non-critics. Yeah but that tablet will probably be more powerful than the PS4 and next xbox. My high-end computer will laugh at next gen as it is. Wait until I add a second GTX 580! Though still I have to wait until those consoles release for developers to take full advantage of my pc's hardware.
I think it will be as linear as the old Resident Evil games where you can explore optional areas and backtrack. I think this game has a lot of potential. The world, characters and story are key to this game's success but ultimately its gameplay will define it.
What do they mean MGS4 is dumbed down? Try beat that game while working the controller with your penis. It might be a bit more difficult for women. If they think that comment is sexist, they must have a penis.

The reviewer does compliment the game's graphics, its level amount of content, its freedom and its battle system so its not all doom and gloom. I would prefer if FF was the way it was but nothing lasts forever. I think people on here like to hate too much. This is about business. If SE feels westernisation will be more profitable than using traditional formula, then westernisation it is. Though bad story aside, what is this game doing wrong either?

Well tbh, there are so many great multi games, that there doesn't need to be exclusives. The 360 is not just selling because of Kinect. Here's my prediction. Sony and MS will announce their next consoles at E3 2013. Neither will give the other a head start this time round so I think both consoles will launch fall 2014. I think the next xbox will launch with Kinect II as an optional side product. I expect Uncharted 4 to be a launch title on Playstation 4 and Gears of War 4 to be a launch title for the next xbox (or launch very soon afterwards). Kinect may not have much applicability for the hardcore gamer but it is a breeze to develop for. I'm making an xna game for my university H.Dip project. It is a 2D game inspired by asteroids that allows the user to use Kinect. You'd be surprised how fun it is to play it with Kinect. I've experienced very few bugs on the pc version so for me it is GOTY by a mile. Portal 2 comes second. I do think Bethesda need to get their act together in regard to developing for multiple platforms. It shouldn't have been so buggy on PS3.

You're making too much sense for this site. Go elsewhere. This is a Sony fanboy site where users will deny any negativity aimed towards Sony or any of their products. I love the PS3 and I'm personally interested in the Vita but from the sales it is clear that more people are interested in the 3DS atm.
All games are mindless repetition in that case. An average of 8.9 on metacritic suggests that there's more to it than mindless repetition.

UC3 wasn't on the list. Maybe he felt it shouldn't be on the list or maybe he's being competitive. I think the former but it doesn't matter. All games on his list are excellent games imo but I would have Skyrim as number one from my pc experience anyway. Though the game should have been lead developed on the PS3.

I agree that UC3 is the best looking console game out there and a great game full stop but Skyrim is a better game imo and has more going on. Skyrim has to deal with a huge world with many unscripted events. UC3 is extremely linear meaning the devs know exactly how many enemies will be in action at the same time and there is no element of randomness. Half Life 3 is the most anticipated game ever. Valve are probably nervous about screwing it up. I believe the game has been in development since 2004 when HL2 came out. I think Episode 1 and 2 were just tests to see what fans wanted. I'd say it will launch exclusively on pc late 2013 and then come out on next gen consoles after that.
