graphics don't make a good sports game.. it's all about the gameplay! Graphics still are good enough imo and at the end of the day, when you're playing on tele cam, nobody can tell player faces anyway!

Wasn't going to get it anyway.. halo's popularity has always left me confused. Sp campaign can probably be completed in 8 or so hours and who in their right mind over the age of 20 will want to play mp? 99% of halo games I enter are either quiet or filled with 10-14 year olds who just squeek crap the entire game.

The article writer sounds like a bitter fanboy jumping on the latest thing in his beloved ps3's favour and nitpicking at stuff. All the points made won't effect a very large majority of the people picking up the game anyway. And while i'd rather have japanese voiceovers, it's not something to jump up and down about.
And to moan about the pacing that it isn't on one disc.. please.. ff7 is considered one of the finest games ever made, did having it on three discs matter?

Meh FF13 is a game worth the extra cost... this game will offer 40+ hours in it's first play through alone.. all you sony people complaining.. how long did it take you to go through unchartered on your first play through? Bet a lot of you paid full price for that.
Not saying I agree with a price increase but the value you get from rpgs especially ff series, is far greater than the majority of other genres.
It shows too... as i've always said, EA games have good gimmicks but lack substance.. how long does it take to complete mirrors edge? Might be a good game but it's pretty much in the bargain bins now... same with dead space, costs more to buy call of duty 2 in England brand new than dead space in some places. This is why EA will never make an AAA quality title which will be compared to such IPs as Halo, MGS, GoWs etc... marketability is more important to them than actually making good games. ...
What momentum? I'm not really a sony hater but I fail to see how sony gain momentum releasing a small version of an already existing product. The price cut is nice but still significantly above the 360s and it still isn't enough to turn people's heads. Maybe i'm wrong but I fail to see how anyone can compare the ps3 slim release to probably this year's biggest selling game.
the Wii will never get enough hardcore genres.. due to the technology of it, I assume developers need to have a designate a whole development team to producing games for it or at least I guess they do. The consumer base of the wii just isn't right for the hardcore games and I doubt it would be profitable.
Ofcourse nintendo fans will probably disagree but how many copies sold of that popular horror game kill something or other? Now compare the sales of that to games designed for...
Love all the moralistic views on piracy.. it doesn't make a damn difference how much you pirate games, they've always cost around the same price and imo, out of every game that gets released. Saying it's stealing while in a sense is true, you can't really compare it to going into someone's house and robbing them of their posessions and if anything, the only person you're robbing would be activision and imo, karma is a b1tch and that dirty prick gets what he deserves.

This article is kind of wrong.. WoW hasn't been dethroned... WoW accounts are now getting merged with battlenet accounts so technically, a large proportion of those battlenet accounts include WoW accounts.
LOL! Too bad SOE couldn't make a AAA game even if their lives depended on it. Not one of their titles is even worth mentioning anymore and they certainly can't compete with the likes of blizzard. The only mmo I think which even stands a chance of giving WoW a run for it's money is the new star wars one.
Looks great? What planet is the article writer from? FN3 looked a hell of a lot better than this cartoony piece of Sh*t. I don't think the sales will do very well for this game.. EA tried to make this game appeal to the masses and as someone who goes boxing three days a week who has a true appretiation for the sport, I can't bring myself to buy this. The midround thing is just too much for me to take as is the amount of bars.

How did Nintendo win? Theirs was the weakest out of all of them.. same old same old really.. every year they just announce new versions of the same three franchises.. well I should say the only three franchises which nintendo are known for.. compare that to microsoft's and sony's conferences and they're a bunch of clowns.

These figures mean squat in my opinion... it's just pointless willy waving. What really matters is the amount of unique people actually gaming over the the networks.. everything else is just a glorified social/download hub.
Well what about game orientated shops? Why should they give up floor space in their shops and do all the promotional hoohar associated with hardware when it isn't a renewable income? I've never worked in retail but i'm pretty sure a large amount of business from shops like game and gamestop is from new game releases... selling just the hardware isn't really as profitable for them and in these dark economic times, these retailers need as much profits as they can get.
