Well tbh how do you expect people to look at games with titles like captain rainbow? It sounds like a bad kid's tv series. Chibi Robo doesn't sound much better. Along with new IPs, we also want diversity.. Nobody can argue that Nintendo have some of the best developers in the world working for them... why don't they use that talent and create something designed to appeal to mainly older gamers? If the wii had more titles like mad world, I sure know i'd be looking at it.

Sorry Sidar, bad choice of words. I meant i've matured.. when you mature your interests change.. like when I was 7 I loved power rangers, I don't exactly love that anymore as it isn't appealing to me. I'm not saying mario is childish but I just don't really enjoy platforming games anymore.

And Xander.. I was actually one of the ones who complained about the new halo announcement however this generation alone, there has been quite a few new IPs from both microsoft and sony corne...

Seferoth..i'm not a sony fanboy but I do dislike nintendo quite a bit.. from that perspective we just think it's a joke really each year it's the same game announcements so when he hear about mario 152 coming out, it's just meh.

I think this is another of Nintendo's problems and one which would probably get me at least looking at buying the wii... each year it really is the same announcements. Each year it's the Nintendo fanboys coming on saying "oo zelda/mario/metroid is ...

In short.. No

In length: F*ck no!

Nintendo will have still kept their most dedicated of fans but those who have left now, won't come back and they won't be attracting sony/xbox fans anytime soon.

Their lack of proper third party support will always hit them hard. Look at EA's and Ubi's lineup for the wii.. with a few exceptions they are literally shoveling what you just know is going to be a 1-3/10 games down children's faces.

Also...

Yeah your right, in the UK it probably won't do too much. But along with casuals, there is a huge fanbase of techies and I think they will lap this up. However, the smart casuals will look at it I think.

Interesting really.. I'd say the writer of this article is what i'd define as a family gamer or casual if you will.. seems microsoft succeeded in tempting some of the nintendy crowd.

It's funny how they talk about wii fit though lol.. Natal will blow that out of the window.

6071d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well time will tell but really, it's a no brainer.. Natal is more advanced with the ability to track the whole body it was always going to be tougher to incorporate but Microsoft are smart and i'm sure they have done everything they can to make it as accessible as possible. It's really like complaining that the ps3 is harder to develop for than the ps2.

Still its not just about the hardware, but more so companies can use it and make it worthwhile buying so we shall see who make...

ghost mutation were you like seriously drunk or smoking some heavy stuff when you said that? Some might prefer games like super mario galaxy but a game of that standard comes like once ever two years for the wii... in the middle of that one golden game you have 100s of trash designed purely to lure kiddies with their cutesy covers.

Also a goldmine? Untapped potential? The wii's hardware is outdated in almost every aspect. And said potential these days is being used by everyone ...

LOL! Need I say more really? Microsoft open with the beatles, nintendo opens with a mario game with graphics that remind me of my snes gaming days and gameplay which doesn't seem much improved since then.

I used to respect mario until I played mario sunshine... my gripe is more with nintendo and the sort of shovelware crap that gets released on the wii. So far we've seen both EA and Ubi's lineup and for the wii/ds it looks like 1 good game to 6 crap games.. like seriously, girls life.. makeover or whatever its called, what sort of crap game idea is that? Thing is, ubi will ram it down silly children's throats by their over the top cutesy cover which will delude them of the fact the game probab...

That's okay, I hear Wii Cheer 2 is in the works lol!

Funny really after microsoft's conference I said nintendo's answer was probably going to be something faddy like a new mario game bundled with some controller add on.

Or wait, maybe they'll announce another silly little gimmick which further more proves just how low our society has reached.

Funny really.. people might actually believe ubisoft if they were that sort of company that took it's time to communicate with it's fanbase.. but in reality, the only time ubisoft communicates with it's fanbase is when $$ involved... while I hope I am blown away by this game, the only thing which will blow me away is just how similar ubi are to EA these days.. i'm just expecting the same old shoddy viral marketing principles they do with the vgi trailers talking up how great their game is wit...

Far as i'm concerned, if the graphics of modern warfare 2 bothers anyone, go buy a state of the art pc, crysis and stfu! I for one, would rather have developers spend their resources creating a much more fun detailed experience than focusing on the eye candy.

Ahahaha, very vocal for an Arsenal fan.. I thought you guys all went into hiding after the last two pastings you got.

What.. no tissues? Then NO SALE!! I demand tissues!

Couldn't happen to a more deserving company. It goes to show that true gamers (wii gamers don't count!) are starting to wisen up. The sheer amount of shovelware they released the last few generations has been a joke. Everytime I see an EA developed game, I will always avoid it until i've either seen a whole load of stellar reviews or personal recommendation from my friend.

Out of curiousity though, people are mentioning software sales but i'm sure the figure takes into account...

^^^^ Yes because when EA are looking for technical advisors, i'm sure they just love to divulge in information giving to them so they can blabber it out to every Jack and Jill in the world....

While a new MoH would be a logical move considering it's IP strength, making statements like "best fps ever" i'd say would be designed to plug a new ip. Then again it's EA so it wouldn't suprise me if they would say that to a new MoH game.

So the translation to "best fps ever" in EA's eyes means the most easily marketable fps with more gimmicks than David Copperfield. I think the reality for EA is that they just lack what it takes to create a Halo or Call of duty game. For me, any chance of best game ever goes the moment I realise EA are actually developing it and not just publishing. They have a reputation for making sweat shop games and it really shows.. every EA developed game outside of the easports range have alw...

Yay for square... "we love our European fanbase so much we're not going to make you guys wait a year" absolutely PATHETIC. There is absolutely no reason what so ever that they can't work on localising their games earlier to make a universal release.. it's called outsourcing. If capcom can do it, why the fuff can't square?
