I used to love this is football.. back then graphically it was by far the best.. just didn't translate as well on the ps2 as pes took over. Another forgotten gem of a football game is Three Lions.. I had so much fun with that game.
It isn't a case of activision hating, it's a case of Kotick hating.. that smug git is always saying in interviews the exact opposite of what most people want to hear.. so gamers are just retaliating to that in whatever way they can.
They need to market it simply by putting it a year back.. make sure they can get both halo reach and gears 3 support before it's launched.. then they should bend over backwards, and beg every core gamer who bought their console for forgiveness after filling every little halo nook and cranny with stupid cutesy overly camp avatars.
Halo is a love hate game, you either get it or you don't. Forge though will almost certainly give it possibly the ultimate console replay value. Never played killzone so can't comment on that but seriously, even the most hardened fanboy has to agree forge looks AMAZING.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to play their games, just buy them preowned.. you get the satisfaction of playing and activision don't get your money (which is satisfying in it's own right).
well maybe they can spend more money on hiring decent map designers. Don't want to hate too much on a game I won't be buying but I bought the last two treyarch cod games and all their maps felt bland with a few exceptions.. certainly not on par with what IW have done.
Well after the lawsuite claims the old IW guys made.. they won't be attracting much talent anytime soon... game developers are far more knowledgeable than the stupid morons who buy activision's milked IPs each and every year. Any "talented" developer would have been better off going to respawn.
For me, it goes without saying why you'd need a ps3.. articles like this need to be renamed Reasons to buy a ps3 eventhough you own "x" console.. if you own a wii it really goes without saying why you should buy a ps3 but for with 360 owners there is one reason and one reason only which should matter and that's Sony support and value the people who buy their console. Only people microsoft value these days are wii owners and that can barely constitute as value, they think of ...
I'm probably quite biased since dumping PES 09 for Fifa 09 and never looking back but tbh.. this isn't the radical overhaul that PES needs to compete with fifa. Player movement still isn't 360, players still have an auto run where they don't even look like they're kicking the ball and the ball physics still make the ball ping around like they were playing Squash/Raquetball.
Have you actually looked into why Capcom won't? Now i'm not a huge follower of each but when i'm bored I sometimes look into things like this. Apparently according to MLG CEO, they were both in advanced negotiations and it looked likely that Capcom would let them use their titles however it was supposedly stopped by some of the vocal people in the SF community who for whatever reason, dislike MLG. Not sure as to why but something that got mentioned quite a bit was something to do ...

When have PES allowed you to use goalies? I didn't buy the last version of pes and all the previous versions before that never allowed you to control your goalie.
Also, there was one game which I remember allowing you to play as the goalie.. striker on the snes.. it didn't work at all as it was too hard to judge where the ball was going. Maybe with a camera angle it would work but personally, I think it'd be a waste of development resources.

Most underated game of this gen.. well for the xbox/pc at least, Shadowrun comes to mind.
