Iwata said that repackaging the Wii with HD wouldn't sell, which is why he isn't doing it. That points out the error in the entirety of your original comment.
And it's funny you mention that he doesn't want to say anything because of Sony and Microsoft, because you just gave another reasoning for people to think that Iwata is an intelligent business leader.
The next Nintendo console isn't going to be just a graphics upgrade. That was the whole point of the article...
As for the rest of your flame-baiting, I'm gonna let someone else attack you on it. Since, obviously, that was the whole point of the comment.
Because only women, children, and old persons play the Wii. Certainly not college students who have been playing games since the NES days, or even earlier. Certainly not...
And it's not like it has any good games. I mean, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, No More Heroes (And 2), de Blob, Little King's Story, among others weren't any good...right?
And the First Party titles? Buncha junk. I mean, you have the Game of the Year 2007 (Super Mario Galaxy), you have Brawl, Mario Kart W...
Because the Wii was released with the XBox and PS2, and isn't good enough to be compared to the 360 and PS3, amirite?
...No. I'm not right. And neither was that last portion of the statement I'm replying to.
*goes back to playing No More Heroes 2*
This game isn't coming to 360 or PS3. Have fun waiting, though.
Frontier is a port of the PC version released in 2007 in Japan.
Just sayin'.
Because I just heard that they weren't making an HD Wii. I am sure that their next console is going to be HD, but the console is going to be more than just a graphics upgrade.
We keep the same amount of Mario, Zelda, and Metroid currently planned...and add Star Fox, F-Zero, and Pikmin. Just sayin'.
Maybe it's because I play a lot of Brawl, but I keep hearing how great a Star Fox Wii would be, same with Kirby Wii (Which was supposedly in production since Gamecube).
...that it wouldn't have been a leap if it was done on the PS360, either? And, from what it sounds like, the only innovations you seem to care about are graphics. I may be wrong, but in this context that is what seems to be the case.
The sad thing is that you seem to be resigning on it being this masterpiece that is horribly tampered with because of the console it's on. I saw the 'Monado' trailer and the graphics during gameplay look fantastic to me.
EDIT: Also, thi...
All games on the Wii have gimmicky controls, especially games like Super Paper Mario, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, various VC/Wiiware games, and Dokapon Kingdom. There wasn't any alternates to motion control in games like Punch-Out!!! either. Nope, all have forced gimmicky controls.
And no game looks good on the Wii, I mean look at Super Mario Galaxy, or Monster Hunter Tri. Those games look awful, don't they? Simply terrible. Nope, the Wii doesn't have any games that look good.
A SE guy did say something late last year about an announcement in 2010 involving a game that was largely requested for a long time...*strokes beard*
Did I stumble into a temporal vortex or something? Someone, get me a sleepy old man in a bowler cap!
Mario, Zelda, and Metroid are on the same level of Gears of War, God of War, and Halo (I can't speak for the Uncharted games, as I haven't played either). In fact, considering their track record...they're above all three. And no, none of Nintendo's franchises are hardcore. In fact, none of the games you listed were 'hardcore' either, because games aren't 'hardcore.'
Also, you're right. They don't need defending.
That isn't surprising. It's an insta-buy (Well, insta-get-brother-to-pay-me-ba ck-with-it, but you get the idea) for me too, but I know it won't hit me as hard as the first one. Sequels rarely have an impact as large as the original, after all. This, paired with normal 'meh-at-best' sales, would explain why Suda51 doesn't do sequels that often.
Considering the most recent two games, they could easily just have both of the two developers that made Homecoming and Shattered Memories, respectively, continue to make Silent Hill games. After all, Climax Group didn't make the PS360 Silent Hill game.
Because...if so...kudos.
What a pathetic article. xD Kinda sad, really.
I am so glad to hear this. xD I loved the story of de Blob, and the characters and gameplay too. Only problem I have is the pretty common complaint that the levels took too much time.
