Because I swear Other M, Mario Galaxy 2, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii were all pretty big...not to mention that little piece of art thrown into the Net to much attempted dissection. It wasn't the greatest presentation ever, but I certainly don't see how it was disappointing.
Anywhos, on topic: I'm really excited for this Summit that is being hyped up. xD
- Wii version isn’t a port, built ground up for Wii, 60 FPS
...I'm confused and happy at the same time. xD
-_- Geez, is this guy serious? And he was saying the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks games' graphics were subpar?! They're freaking DS games. They're not supposed to have advanced graphics, and I think they look fantastic for DS games.
Where's my goatee, for I must be in bizarro world. x.x
I'm so excited, can't way for 3/1.
What's the point of this article being posted? The same story was posted yesterday about the same guy. He picked a fight with a company, and the company caught him. Big deal.
There's de Blob, No More Heroes (And 2), Little King's Story, Muramasa, Boom Blox, Punch-Out, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, etc.
Sounds about right. Companies are pretty good at using threatening-sounding amounts of money to scare people out of doing something that isn't in their interest. Just look at Square Enix's C&D of Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes.
I have to say that you're a bit wrong on the count that it's mostly shovelware. There are a lot of good games on the Wii, some only using the motion controls for one action if at all. Besides, most of the shovelware is pretty easy to spot and avoid, and there are quite a few real gems in the system's library.
Wow, you're either the guy in question or are joking. New Super Mario Bros. Wii was their big release in December, and arguably in 2009. Of course they'd go after something that lowered its sales in such an illegal fashion. Also, he bought the freaking game and uploaded it for others...so how did he do this because he couldn't afford to buy games?
I bet you would be perfectly fine if, say, Square Enix sued a British guy for uploading the PS3 version of FF13 for $1.5 million?
The guy did something illegal involving a large-scale title for a large company. He wasn't going to just get a slap on the wrist, and I'm glad. This person uploaded the file, therefore showing that there was no correlation between this lawsuit and how much money he had, other than how much money he has been fined.
But, I'm sure you just skimmed the title and thought 'Hey, I can randomly attack Nintendo about this topic for no real reason.' So, pay no heed to this reply.
He didn't really give any negatives (Except that the graphics could have been better), and the things that he said makes the game sound like at least an 8, easy.
What an entertaining article. Not meant to be taken seriously whatsoever, obviously, but still entertaining.
I'll agree with your point that the Wii has a specific audience that it must cater to the moment you show me the proof that quality Fighting, Hack-And-Slash, and Action games don't sell on the Wii. Note: No More Heroes wouldn't be an example of something that didn't sell on the Wii, because it obviously sold enough to make Suda51 happy enough with said sales to make a sequel.
After all, all three consoles have quite a bit to offer individually, and the Wii has far more to offer than SE and Paper Mario (In fact, it doesn't have much to offer from SE...). Still, if you choose not to try other games then I won't fault you for it, as everyone has their particular preferences. You seem keener toward RPGs, just as I am keener toward Adventure games and Platformers.
I said that it was fully possible that we'd be getting a new Nintendo console within two years. I haven't been asleep the past couple years, and I've been playing games long enough to know average life cycle, danke. My point was, it's highly unlikely that it'll be WiiHD.
I'm such a happy guy. xD
They seem to be selling enough to have a reason to make more. -_-
I'm still convinced that we won't see Nintendo rerelease the Wii just to be HD. That would be ridiculous. I could see another console within two years as a possibility, but it won't be a Wii.
It would be Four-Player Co-Op. And, considering how well it worked for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, I could easily see it done for a Star Fox game. And if not (or if someone is playing single player/less than 4-player), at the least they could give us a way to control the AI of the other members of the Star Fox Team. Not as in how good they are, but rather what strategy they employ during gameplay.
I do think, however, that there should be ground-based levels, sprinkled into the ga...
