I prefer Brawl. The most characters, least clones (Clones scream laziness to me. >.> Hey there, Ganondorf/Pichu/Dr. Mario/Roy...how ya doin'?), as well as the most stages. I liked the SSE, and it has some of my favorite characters (Diddy, Olimar, Sonic, etc.)
Huh. Didn't expect that Pachter hated Wii bashers who wanted every Wii exclusive on an HD console enough to ensure that a PS3 port will never come out. xD Oh well, I haven't been able to afford the game yet, but I'll probably get it by New Years...

...Kidding about the air of disappointment, but I'd seriously recommend all four. They're all fairly good manga.

I was sure that it would surpass Smash, moreso than any other game. It's a terrific game with enough depth to last for a long amount of time, but that has enough of a niche that it wouldn't be played for a couple hours by everybody, then set down.

I can vouch that all of these games are, in my opinion, good games.
Mario's story matters? ._. I mean, stories in games are a good thing...but I've always viewed Platformer 'plots' as more a means to reach the situations that require the platforming. Hence the interplanetary thing, as it allows a bigger variety of platforming situations. And, from what I've experienced, the platforming of Mario games does a notable evolution from one console generation to the next.
Other then that, I basically agree when it comes to Pokem...
What's with the Wi-Fi connectability? O.o I wonder what Junction Point has up their sleeves...

No. See. If the character is already viewed as a sex object, then it can't be torn down into sexism because the character was already being objectified. If she's viewed as a mute, then giving her human qualities is being sexist because it's giving her a personality that isn't absolutely nonexistent.

As for the Move and Kinect...eh. Mid-Life peripherals. They rarely do well. If these do...great, I don't really care either way.
Except that the rule of the game for developers is to sell based on what's the largest audience per platform, or at least if a certain audience is a plausible market. It's the reason that there aren't that many games that use Motion+ on the Wii. Truth is, optional, mid-life peripherals need fairly early success on the market in order for developers to even give it a glimmer of a chance after the first wave of games. Even peripherals as high-profile as Move and Kinect.
If true, then f*** off, Namco Bandai.
