Agreed, Bioshock is a FPS first and foremost. It's what makes it a game. What makes it unique is the atmosphere, storytelling, and these deeper messages.
They pay people to write those, amazing.
It's only the reviewers opinion. If you're anything like me, you'll research the hell out of a game before you buy it.
Personally, I'd give Borderlands a 7.5, because the lack of a decent story and the repetitive nature of the gameplay and missions (only repetitive after a while, of course).
The art direction, "unlimited guns," and the awesome coop goes a long way though. Obviously there's more to Borderlands than what I just wrote, but from what I can remember this is what I'd say about it.
I hope it's innovative, or at the very least somewhat original. Skyrim felt really stale really soon.
This and Super Meat Boy on Vita would be great, even Cave Story. Hell, any 2D side-scroller, I love those.
Agreed, I think we should just assume that all triple A games will be delayed at least once.
I'd like to think it wasn't just to avoid competition, and that they really did find something extraordinary to add to the game. I know it was partly because of the competition, but I bet the nudge to delay was the discovery of the new aspect they could add.
Different developers make different things. So if Ken and his team made Bioshock 2's multiplayer, I'm sure it would be very different, whether for better or for worse. But probably for better.
#7 is about EVE also, been a while since I read that article.
Try flying up, up, and a *boom*... "The phuck."
Technically, there has to be guns that are better than the others, otherwise there's no point to having multiple guns. It's just that some were more powerful than others while sacrificing accuracy, or other things like that.
Spectator Mode and Battlerecorder would be much loved additions, but really, I cannot wait until they balance the game completely. It usually takes them a long time, but Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2 as my proof, they eventually work out to be completely balanced.
Sums it up quite nicely.
@NukaCola, I just found out about Infinite being delayed, and you tell me that Ni No Kuni was too? How am I ever going to do my math homework when I'm hit with this news?
It's too bad it got delayed, but if it's necessary then so be it. I'm actually quite hyped for this one.
Here's something pretty relatable.#1 is EVE, and is absolutely hilarious, the rest are great too.

I'll be getting it one day on PC, just I only buy games on PC when Steam does their huge sales. After all, no one's made of money.
Well, they really wanted to develop the hand to hand combat, so that's what they did. It worked so well that I used it whenever I could, so depending on play style, I'd agree.
There should be a separate review for the login screen.
