It's actually about a bunch of people using their 7 day used game return policy as a quasi-rental program.
Power to the players.
Is this a kid "section" on netflix or did they finally get around to changing the way they recommend movies? Last time I tried their service they wouldn't let you change your viewing history so the kids would still see all the "raunchy teen comedies and steamy adult dramas" when they log on. Would much rather see them add different profiles/password protection/history editing.
It's been awhile since I tried netflix, about a year, so maybe the use...
I think that's the ugliest moogle I've seen in a final fantasy game.
Kinect has nothing. Really.
That interests me.
@Series_IIa
I don't care if Microsoft or Sony do it I think it's a waste of money and a mere annoyance. The only thing it would do would be to inconvenience some of your customers and I think that is bad business.
I still can't understand why Microsoft pays for things like this and much less why Bethesda agrees to it. Most of the real fans bought it on the first day and it really only screws over loyal fans who would want to buy the DLC. It seems like Microsoft just wants to piss off the competition and honestly if you owned the ps3/pc version I would think this only made you dislike Microsoft more. When all is said and done however, I still wouldn't get the 360 version over the PC version s...
So it's Grexcellent?
@inveni0
He's referring to how Bethesda frequently screws PS3 owners with their DLC. Fallout3 iirc correctly made users wait longer for DLC for no real reason. Might have been paid by MS for exclusivity but that doesn't really make any sense if you take into account that most ppl wanting DLC already bought the game and at that point you're just hurting loyal customers. Still I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to do something like that so they could say they h...
@killerhog
Look at Dragon Age II. That one was about as low when it first launched. This generally happens if they make fans angry enough. MW3 just happens to be the main corporate FPS making it a good target. Not to mention many people hate Activision.
23 more trucks and they get a free nuke. Unless they get caught and then they have to start over.
It's nice to see them announce things that you would expect to be in every Final Fantasy game you play. Well... except omega which is exclusive DLC for certain pre-orders. At least they're getting half of it right... well maybe. Hopefully it will turn out well, but I'll be keeping my ear to the ground to see if I'm buying it new and giving my money to SE or buying it used and giving my money to some random person on ebay.
@ Misterhbk
My real question is how much the development of these tablet controllers is going to impair the horsepower of the system. I am afraid it is going to be like the wii in that half way through the generation it will start to lose support because it is behind pc games and wont see ports or entice 3rd party devs. They'll either have to raise the price or gimp something, and it'll be interesting to see which it is and what happens.
@baodeus
You're just as likely to have those people in a 64 player game as you are with a 256 player game. In fact if you are just randomly joining games it is more likely to be balanced with a 256 player game because half the game wont be filled with people in the same clan/guild/squad.
Gotta love how Namco holds your games hostage. If you don't buy this year old Wii port we're going to assume that our new games aren't going to sell either!
I actually tried this game out for awhile over the last month and I can't see myself paying for it considering there is no endgame content. Once i reached the max level there was only 1 dungeon and that new Ifrit fight. It gets boring rather quickly and the only interesting thing is that new materia system which could occupy some time. That time however is occupied in grind parties you don't need to be in because you're already lvl50.
My biggest peeve about the...
FF11 was put on the 360 when Microsoft was still trying to get into the market. You have to remember 11 was a ps2 game and that was a long time ago and Microsoft's policy is vastly different now. They no longer have to pander to companies wanting cross platform multiplayer and free online access, and they don't. If I recall correctly FF11 is one of the only games that doesn't require a paid subscription to live and that is because Microsoft needed 3rd party support at the time....
I didn't say shooter exclusive. In fact, it would be asinine to presume I even implied there were only shooters in a discussion about Forza 4.
All three systems have diversity due to multi-platform games but when it comes to in house development and exclusive retention the games that Microsoft seems to be most interested in are shooters and that is mainly, as indicated by sales, what their fan base wants. My point however, is that this may not be what Japanese gamers ...
I have to disagree on parts, the 360 is very shooter centric and that alone may not appeal to certain demographics. Microsoft had, for a time, decided to try and broaden their catalog of games by purchasing Japanese oriented games but it was clearly a superficial endeavor since they didn't acquire any studios and everything was being released a year later on other consoles.
In addition, the community aspect of the 360 is a major selling factor and since there are so few ...
If you follow this game you know what you're getting into. I never buy the first few games and just wait for the empires version because that's the one I enjoy most. The only one I was ever really disappointed in was DW6 where they simply reused everyone's weapon attacks. usually every character is a bit different and makes it a fun and mindless beat em up.
