Forgetting the X-wing and Tie Fighter games is like forgetting the original Mario in a list of best Mario games. Those were some of the best games you could get at the time and that's not even limiting yourself to Star Wars games.

I think a lot of people played it that long to get to end game and in anticipation of the end game only to find out what was really there and leave. I got to a3 inferno, which took a while to do, only to find out that I wouldn't enjoy endgame. I should have known it would end that way tho because Diablo 2 was essentially a bartering game by the time you finished and with the AH there's no real incentive to barter.
