A lot of DA2s failure was just laziness and it was far to prevalent to ignore. You can learn a lot of things from failing sure, but you have to be committed to put in the effort to make a good game in the first place. Taking a good rpg then striping it of gear options, party customization, and reusing dungeons over and over is just the blatant manifestation of laziness. I'm not about to pay full price for something like that and it pisses me off even more when they decide to cut out bi...
"If Day, who has MILLIONS of followers online, hasn’t contributed to the gaming industry with her creative work on Dragon Age: Redemption, The Guild, and being an inspiration to women everywhere to talk more openly about their gaming obsessions, I guess gaming journalists haven’t contributed to the gaming industry either, huh?"
No, no, he has it right neither Day nor gaming journalists have contributed much to the gaming industry. Gamers are their own journalists....
"You won't beat Xbox Live unless you have a subscription fee and use that extra cash to get better infrastructure and the like."
Microsoft sure has people fooled if they're actually believing this. What infrastructure are you paying for? It certainly isn't servers. Or are you referring to those things like netflix, ESPN, and hulu that probably graciously let MS put their programs on their service for free?
Next thing you'll be ...
Playing the better and complete version is not really a benefit in this generation when games are updated via the internet. I can definitely sympathies with European gamers after Nintendo of America has released a few games I've wanted to play in EU while failing to bring the fully translated version over to the NA regions(WTF are you doing Reggie).
More on topic, if there's anything Namco is good at, it's taking their sweet time to release localizations. Possib...
I could make a graph that displays my desire to play a new dungeon keeper game against my willingness to listen to him hype his new and upcoming game. There's a pretty clear point where I just don't want to listen to his BS anymore and that's usually about 5mins into his E3 presentations.
Since he no longer has the rights to Dungeon keeper I usually only give him enough time to say if he's making a completely unrelated game called "Keeper of Dungeons&q...
Entitled is the new buzzword isn't it.
After fallout 3 and all the BS with that game's DLC I figured this might happen. Knowing that, there was still no way I was going to get this game on 360 instead of my PC. The modding community for this game is just ridiculous and makes you wonder why you pay 5$ for weapons/armor packs. The only thing they can add that you can't pick up from the nexus/steam are story based quests with good voice acting.
Michael Bay better stay out of my other FF titles!
The original game came with this overly complicated control board to do all your commands and it was pretty cool because it simulated the cockpit of the machine. What they did with Kinect tried to do the same but I feel it just fell flat on its face and would have been better without the device all together. Give me back the 200$ control panel. I always enjoyed those old school mech/pilot/space sims that use joysticks. Sadly you never find those anymore and there is no comparison to thing...
5$?! of course if you want the full game you'll have to shell out another 55$ for their DLC.
@rpgfruiti
If he were talking about western developers then yes shooters would be their comfort zone. Japanese Developers don't make many FPS games so your sarcasm is misplaced. Anime styled RPGs however...
I do agree in part with Thana, tho you can't paint all developers the same color. NIS however is a great example of how their games haven't progressed much past what was done on the ps2 but they're a relatively small company and may not have the ...
If it's anything like 5 I'd be interested in a "Survival Horror" DLC which turns the game into a survival horror game instead of a coop action game with zombies.
Trying to define "hardcore game" is generally a bad idea. The term is used very fluidly and for the most part is in reference to a type of gamer and not really a game. An experienced gamer could take a casual game to a hardcore extent with score/time trials but that doesn't really make the game hardcore. A "hardcore game" is abstractly whatever might appeal to this type of gamer and varies from person to person.
The truth of the matter is that Ninte...

I believe I read somewhere that Namco Bandai has no plans to localize this game on account of westerners not purchasing the first one.
When asked to localize the first game Namco Bandai responded stating that Tales of Vesperia had poor results on the PS3 and therefore they have no plans to Localize Xillia.
When asked to release Vesperia on the PS3 Namco Bandai responded by stating they were having difficulty with the copy/paste function while trying to move t...
They're jumping on a bandwagon not so much paving the way. I would give steam credit for paving the way for digital distribution.
That said I won't really be happy with digital distribution till companies stop charging the same price for digital copies as they do with physical copies. There are many benefits for the company selling the product but they seldom pass on value to the consumer past saving them a car ride.
No one cares what he has to say about games so that makes the issue of the tie a tad more important.
Obviously this commercial is a showcase for the new future soldier battle armor, bulletproof implants.
A shitty vocal artist contracted with a shitty company to make a shitty game. The shitty vocal artist didn't give the shitty game company notice and backed out of the shitty contract. So the shitty company decided to sue the shitty artist over the shitty game and a Judge decided there was enough reason to actually hear the shitty case.
In the end we gamers will not be able to play the super awesome game "Starpower: Beyonce" for which we were all desperately wa...
You know, when Dead Island and CoD are #1&2 of a list about zombies, that there are no good zombie games coming out soon(Or the website is oblivious). I'm waiting for a Dead Island game that lives up to what I saw in that trailer. Still, I doubt Riptide is going to be that great of a game.
