was thinking the same thing about BC, as a friend of mine wants to get a PS3 in the next few months. He wants the BC like my 60gb PS3 (now upgraded to 250gb for £60). Didn't the 80gb version have BC to begin with, and Sony only dropping the BC on the 40gb version? I'm not sure on that one.
To be honest, the BC seemed important to begin with, but i've rarely used that feature on my PS3 more than about half a dozen times, too many PS3 games to complete. And when places like T...
Hello Karlostomy, how are you.......
Hope this helps

When people troll and act like fanboys, then they deserve disagree’s. When they act sensibly, they should be treated accordingly. You only asked a legitimate question, so in this case you deserve a positive reply.
@Karlostomy (sorry for the delay in replying, (i’ve been working all morning, plus it could be a different time zone)
My original post was not supposed to be clever or original. (it was copied from you, so how could it be) It was supposed to be obvious that it was a copy, so that you would pick up on it (a child or even someone with a learning disability could spot that). I’m surprised it needed pointing out to you for you to comprehend that. You then call the post “a bit ..wea...
You state that my reply didn’t address your links nor your reasoning, nor the content of your post
Lets look at your links.
1 & 4. Sony sued over PS2 chip - Specifics of the lawsuit are unclear, its thought that its down to the manufacturing process. But its for a patent that is nearly 20 years old. The fact that Toshiba is included in the lawsuit means that the technology is more than likely produced by them, so Sony may be exempt anyway. As it would be Tosh...
Scratch that..... Microsoft finally, clean up their mess .....etc.
As for replacing machines... well of course they HAVE To do that, before they get sued again!
3 year extended warranty, and at a cost of $1 billion. They admitted problems with the 360 in July of 2007, when the 360 was launched in Nov. of 2005. Some 19 months earlier.

Why though are some people complaining about having to sync the pad with the usb cable, you only do that once, then you never have to do it again. And second, some peopl...
Then could you please explain this to HM Revenue & Customs
See website link below.

Also, Royal mail charge an international handling fee of £9 when imported goods are over the value of £18. Again, see the web link ab...
Its about time, it should of been here at the launch of the PS3, but legal battles etc., still better late than never.
how can someone disagree.....£40 is a lot......the mind boggles.
Fuel keeps going up, it was about $3.60 last time I was in florida, a good few months ago now though. It must average at about $4 per gallon depending on which state you live in.
And your correct, £30 is more than enough. The cheapest i've managed to find on the internet is on ebay, imported controllers via Hong Kong, just over £30.
Luckily i'll get mine local with the nice d...
Any item imported from the US that is over £18 in value, is subject to import tax. Most companies, once the item is in the UK, use Royal Mail. And guess what, royal mail impose a £9 handling fee on any item that has duty on it. So that initial saving you make from importing can go right out the window.
The cost for the dualshock 3 is $50, thats about £25. Your duty tax on it will be approx £6 when you import it because its over the £18 value, and then Roy...
but then you've got to take into account this its the UK, England, Great Britain, or as any brit calls it "Rip Off Britain". This isn't just a Sony thing, everything here is expensive if you compare our prices to the USA. Take the global costs at the moment for fuel, (anyone from the US correct me if i'm far out), they pay approx $3.60 per gallon, whereas in comparison we pay nearly $9 per gallon (gallon = 3.8 x litre).
I'd suggest shop around on the internet, you'll pr...
in respect to its fine balance of game play mechanics, and split second timing that’s required to unlock the best this series has always had to offer, but lets remember the website that this has come from, and its crystal clear its a title used to generate website hits.
It could of just been called
“Edge gives NG2 an 8/10”
or if it was to quote a line from the review, for positive effect,
“It is fast, it is vicious, it looks fantasti...
Over the last 18 months to 2 years since I joined this site, your one of the few individuals that deserves a voice, how the hell your down to 2 bubbles is ....... well wrong.
Bubbles up from me.
Do the basic math, LOL
Examine the sales figures for the USA (2007). The 360 started the year with 5.1M, and ended with 10.1M, that’s 5M units for America in 2007. Lets examine the PS3 (2007) it started at 810k, and ended the year at 3.52M, basic math, that’s 2.7M units for America in 2007.
5M - 2.7M = 2.3M extra units of 360’s sold in America (2007).
But hang on a minute, that’s just America (2007). What about the rest of the planet. Wasn't it the...
A Seer moment if you will, "I think this is going to be a rather ignored thread, I don't see many fanboys posting comments (we know who you are). It will be mainly ignored, as they will either disagree whole heartedly with the article, or they will glance at it, and move on without acknowledging it, because if they did, it would mean they would have to take a close look at themselves, realising they are the delusional fanboys the article writes about, and that they really need to grow up....
AT & T in the states are insisting that any iphone bought from them is unlocked by them at time of purchase.
o2 in the UK, you can guarantee will do the same. They will not sell you the iphone for £59 and let you walk, trusting you to sign up through itunes for the contract at home. Besides, the contact now has nothing to do with Apple (as in the first gen model), its been opened up. So your contact dealings are direct with the phone company, in this case o2.
The handset might cost you only £59, but to get that deal when you buy it from the O2 shop, you'll be signing up for a minimum 18 month contract, costing you £45 per month. So why the hell would you want to jailbreak it (good risk of locking your phone up, apple updates have caused this to happen before, plus you'll invalidate your warranty with Apple). And after all that, you'll still have to pay o2 £45 per month on the contract for a phone you cant use.
on the loose again. I get 2 disagrees for stating factually correct information. Others also here get the disagree bandit treatment, for doing likewise.
Those who disagreed, educate yourselves.
1. Summer officially and scientifically begins at the solstice on 21st/22nd June (longest day of the year) and ends at the autumnal equinox on 21st/22nd September. Look it up
2. Sony's only announcement regarding 2.40 has been to state "Summer 2008"
It's great that 360 owners in the West can get to experience this game, and from a business point of view, this was the best move for Square to finance and get money back on this title. Sony get to keep it exclusive in Japan (FF biggest market, as well as multi-platform in the west, so they don't really loose out). I 100% agree with you, on the points you made about Microsoft, we need them in this console race, just as much as Nintendo or Sony, and they've set the bar when it comes to online ...
