Sold through sales are still more valuable. Unsold units maybe returned to the publisher. Additionally, a game sold to customers has engaged the buyer, who may choose to spend additional money on the game.
I personally think the game speed should be a bit faster. I really like the art and music.
Many of the people saying that Kait was a forced female lead blatantly didn’t pay any attention to Gears 4’s story and ending.
I don’t think Gears 5 sold 3 million copies, however I still think the title likely did well in terms of sales. I’m personally interest as to what the ratio of people who bought Gears 5 vs those who gamepassed the title is. State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves both sold well despite being including in gamepass ,(and objectively being of lower quality than Gears 5). Therefore, I believe Gears 5 can still sell well, despite gamepass promotions possibly cutting into initial full-priced purchases ...

Halo is the bigger IP.
I just finished Gears 5 and thoroughly enjoyed the campaign. However, I’m rather disappointed with how few multiplayer characters the game is launching with. Characters present in the campaign are absent in multiplayer. Additionally, character could have just been ported over from Gears 4.
I think the series pretty blatantly explains why so many people in the Gears universe hate the COG. It’s obvious that the COG is the overarching villain of the franchise, if you pay attention to the story.
The two versions have different levels.
Gears 5 has reviewed marginally better than Halo 5. Using the word “failures” plants an implication that Gears 5 was vastly better received than Halo 5, when currently it hasn’t been.
I would beat gears 5 cost over 50 million. Additionally we would have to add on marketing to the game’s development cost. Would a person subbing to gamepass for a year ($120) actually generate more profit than person buying a physical or digital copy of Gears 5 at $60 dollars ?
I personally bought Gears 5 at full price, $79.99 CAD. I still assume MS wants to see there games generating substantial revenue from direct purchase.I assume Halo: Infinite a game that will likely ...
I think the issues Borderlands 3 is facing are likely and largely attributed to optimization.
The franchise since MW 2 has been designed to cater to players of low skill. I was a hardcore Starcraft 2 player and I became very aware of how the game was designed and balanced. Blizzard never balances Starcraft 2 based on the feedback of low skilled players. Blizzard instead balanced and designed the title around high skill play, and players were expected to learn the game and get better. Call of Duty is unfortunately very successful due to its focus on skill gap compression.
Miyamoto has been in business longer and created many gaming iconics. His foresight is why we got Metroid prime. Miyamoto focuses on the most important part of the game, the gameplay! Kojima instead likes to tell convoluted stories with questionable gameplay. Hence, I have never been able to get into, nor like Kojima’s games.
I have never been able to get into MGS, Kojima’s games simply aren’t my “cup of tea”.

The Switch version of Overwatch is 30fps a frame rate that is half that of it XB1 and PS4 counterparts. Overwatch crossplay between Switch, XB1,PS4 would be unfair for the earliest mentioned console.
Your point makes sense. We still have to see commercial and critical reception for Ori 2, Bleeding Edge, Battletoads, Gears Tactics, Halo Infinite, “and Forza 2020” from 2019 to 2020.
