This franchise likely won’t be very successful for 10 years as Bungie initially plan.
Bloodborne had the same performance issues as Dark Souls 1-3. Frame pacing issues, frame drops, low frame rate enemies (usually at a distance). Rom the Vacuous Spider, and Amygdala had very low frame rate boss fights and animations. Bloodborne didn't maintain performance well when there was lots of particle effects, such as fog, just like Dark Souls 1-3.
The Fromsofts engine for the Souls-series and Bloodborne is not well optimized.
I sometimes wonder what the actual budgets of EA Star Wars Battlefront games are? Are the budgets comparable to say Uncharted 4, Halo 5, Rise of The Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: Mankind ,or Gears of War 4? I certainly don’t think Battlefront (2015) had a super high budget since the game was so anemic. Also Dice has pumping out games rather fast, and playing the beta of Battlefront 2, the game felt recycled from Battlefied 1.
Revealing such a large plot point in a game would be more idiotic than Battlefront 2’s pomrogression system lol.

Mass Effect Andromeda did take a different direction than prior Mass Effects, but it was the lack of polish that killed the game.The Sonic games change constantly and tend to review poorly because they aren’t very good.You berate Halo 5 for its story, yet site Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Hitman games that reviewed no better and the earlier was heavily criticized for story.
I think Doom (2016)’s audio in general is not very good. I played through the game on PS4, and there were plenty of sound mixing, directional audio issues plus many weak sound effects. I am not sure how the game won awards for sound design over Battlefield 1 last year.

Plenty of other AAA games made profit off just their raw sales alone at $60. Battlefront 2 microtransactions are there to just grab cash from impulsive spenders. Heck the microtranscations and loot grates are the games progression system. A progression system with no concept of fairness and gameplay balance. Battlefront 2 has some of the worst MTs I have ever seen in a AAA game.
I would say the mixed reception of Battlefront (2015), the mixed reception of Battlefront 2 (2017) fake beta,the loot crate controversy and finally the mixed final reviews are what caused Battlefront 2 to underperform. Also the Star Wars hype has died down a bit since the Force Awakens.

Disney should not license out the Star Wars IP for games. Instead I think the company should set up studios to develop the game in house.EA since renewing the Star Wars license in 2013, has only released Battlefront 1 & 2, and canceled the Visceral Star Wars game.
The worst parts of this very good game, are the 'scavenger hunt' near the end and the repeating enemies when backtracking.
Skill gap compression is the bane of shooter balancing. It makes games more imbalanced once more skilled players exploit it!
I do see why companies have MTs in their games. However, my issues with MTs is not their presence in games, but rather the way MTs are being implemented. MTs should be mainly for cosmetics and have no RNG attached.
I am certain the OG Xbox straight up out performed the GameCube on a technical level.
I can’t get into it either. I find the combat dull compared to my staple mp shooters (Halo, Gears and Battlefield). Also the game was flat out overpriced.
