I can get behind these picks except with NSMB2. I love Mario games and everything but I don't think it will measure up to games like Darksiders 2, PS Allstars, or Resident Evil 6.
Luminous Arc, no. Etrian Odyssey should definitely be represented, 3 was the best/most balanced
No Bowers Inside Story is a travesty. And lumping the pokemon games together and the reasoning behind it is bull considering the same reasoning could be applied to Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton.

Exactly my thoughts. Regardless of how you feel about sexual orientation, sexual themes serve absolutely no purpose in a game like this, or most games for that matter. Leave the gblt agenda/controversy to film and television, please leave it out of my games.

Borderlands and Darksiders both getting ambitious with their sequels regarding the amount of content compared with the originals. Coincidence that their releases are so close.

Never? So if a game that youre anticipating is universally panned and gets a 50% meta score you will still stubbornly purchase it and try to enjoy the mediocrity? Or a game you have no interest in receives universal acclaim you will still avoid it or at the very least won't reconsider?

Never sure why people have to use that qualifier "for a [insert handheld system] game" a good game is a good game regardless of platform.. handheld games aren't "lesser than" simply because they can't be experienced on a 40 inch screen with bleeding edge graphics.
Nevermind the fact that PS3 is hardly a resounding success with kids and families. Pretty sure Wii and Kinect have that market cornered.
Mark me down for Borderlands, AC3, Dishonored, and RE6. Only game I'm on the fence with is Hitman.
I think RE6 will be amazing. Of course, I really enjoyed 4 and even 5 (move + online co-op = superfuntime) and RE Revelations on 3DS was *quite* good and was split between 2 distinct styles and stories.. I see no reason why that formula should fail on a console.

I agree with you people need to let go of the boxes. I have a huge collection of games (500+) but am honestly perfectly fine with going all digital. I play games, not discs or cartridges.
And like you said, steam is digital only and one of the most trusted and lobed services in the business. Everyone hating on digital has this unfounded fear that its going to be completely anti-consumer when in reality competition in the marketplace...
Its difficult to have diversity and take risks when development and marketing costs are millions upon millions of dollars and you have to trust people to spend a rather exorbitant amount of money at retail to try it out. Mobile development is far less costly to develop for and distribute.. much easier to take risks and your game doesn't need to look bleeding edge graphically to find success.
