Basically what I'm saying is that, yes, the movies are compressed, but a 2 hour 720p movie compressed to 1Gb is never going to look, or sound, better than the same 2 hour movie playing off a Blu-ray disc...

Seriously, that beats sitting hunched over, two feet away from a PC monitor screen any day.
Directing a cursor on an analogue stick might not be as fluid as a mouse, but its by no means as crippling as you're making it out to be.
Also, where I got the idea of it being a console game is from the commentary about how they had made everything very minimal and being able to be done using just the mouse. Everything where you need it, in one ease to use control system.
Just like a joypad.

Ninja Gaiden 2 - Haven't played it, but have heard very mixed reports. Mostly that's a flawed masterpiece.
Devil May cry 4 - Agree. I thought after playing it that I had played the worst game I was going to this year. Then I played Half Life 2...
God of War 2 - Agree. It's just fine to play.
Conan - Haven't played it, but I wasn't impressed by the demo.
Yeah, the gaming industry managed to avoid it for a while, but after a while people have to tighten their belts. It will probably slow down for the rest of the year and only pick up again around Christmas.
