50%? I'd say more than that... More like 75%.

I've still not played Call of Duty 4.
With all the hype about it though I think I should pick it up at some point.

In the second half of the year we have titles such as Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, Final Fantasy, Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo 5 (Full)... and then Bluray movies too...
oh... and let's not forget MGS4.

"I cannot believe someone disagreed with you."
That's because, as the main article has already proven, there are a lot of sick f*cks in this world.
Team 17 were making a version of Alien Breed for the PS2, back in 2002. It was called Alien Breed 2K4, but was shelved when they couldn't attract publisher interest.
You can find screens (okay, maybe one) if you Google Alien Breed 2K4
To have this as a downloadable PSN title would be great!

... maybe this is the Sonic game we have been holding out for for the last 10 or so years..?
Sonic is a 2D game at heart. Here's hoping this is Sonic's great come back.

Got a link to the rumour?
Or is it just word of mouth?
BrianC6234 - It obviously won't be as bad as that... BUT, how about this,
1) Want the OS to support more than 1GB of RAM? Download a module
2) Want the OS to use more than 1 CPU core? Download a module
3) Want to play those divx movies? Download the "certified" module
4) MP3 support? Download the module (WMA and WMV are Free!)
5) Want greater Wifi and Ethernet speeds? Download the module
6) etc.
They'll be no means cripple the ...
Yeah. The forecast for Microsoft is not good at the moment. I've a feeling the computing landscape will be quite different in the next ten or fifteen years.
I may be wrong, but I don't think the average home user has much need for bulky and excessive OSes any more.
A lot of stuff can, and is, done via the internet these days. What do people use their computers for? Internet? Music? Photography? Some "office" related stuff?
Load the game.
Stand still.
Watch the HDD indicator and LISTEN.
The game is writing data to the hard drive the whole time. You can hear the disc spinning in the drive.
I have no idea where it puts the data, because I'd expect to see something in the Game Data Utility XMB section. But I'm assuming it puts it in to temporary storage. At any rate, it does fill install a cache somewhere on the hard drive.
I always wondered why they didn't do this.
I asked a mate who works for SCEE why they hadn't opted to just integrate the store in to the media bar and then have it update in the background with XML feeds.
He said it was a decision made in Japan, so he wasn't sure.
There's a comment in the blog that confirms that the store is no longer browser based and is built in to the firmware.
So it's a XBM type thing.
Guess that the current store was either a temporary thing so they could work on an integrated store, or they are reacting to negative user feedback.
Whatever, this new store will be great.

Until the "bribe" details are *confirmed* by a more credible source such as the FT, Reuters or the Wall Street Journal, I'd take it with a pinch of salt.
Typos in my above post.
Basically what I was saying was that the Dante vs Nero fight was a missed opportunity. Shame.
Yeah, I agree.
The gameplay has aged and the fighting really does become quite repetitive. There's simply not enough variation. The plot is... well... I have no idea what was going on. The graphics were okay, but not exactly mind blowing.
Ultimately this game is about stylish fighting, but there are other games that simply did it better and made it more entertaining: ie - God of War.
I think the bit that did it for me was the Dante vs Nero fight half way...
"The first thing you notice when you pick up the XBLA/PSN title (I played on the 360) is how pretty it is"
Fact: The PS3 version will look prettier. Capcom have confirmed this.
(Let's see how many disagrees I get)
"Linux is horrible, especially Ubuntu"
Er... what?
Ubuntu, Kubuntu, etc. are now considered to be THE Linux distros to use for a Linux desktop. It just works, which is exactly what it should be.
"Linux gaming? Is that supposed to be a joke?"
Here's a funnier one: PC gaming.

I don't know how you hold a controller, but I tend to have my index finger on R1 and my middle finger over R2. Likewise with the left hand.
Using my middle finger to fire just feels weird. After all, when you fire a gun (be it a real one, water pistol, whatever), you probably use your index finger.
Basically it want it to feel natural, if that makes sense.
Here's hoping we can swap it back to R1.
The L2 and R2 on the PS3 controller are just too sensitive and, well, they don't feel right.
Guys, if you can, please run Folding when you remember.
Yes, it means you've got to leave your PS3 on, which ultimately means it's using electricity, but the folding data will be invaluable to researching attempting to score breakthroughs against a number of diseases, including, but not limited to, cancer and Alzheimer's.
