Grand Theft Auto *3* changed gamers' expectations.
GTA4, however, was one of the most over hyped, overrated, and most disappointing games of the year; right up there with Devil May Cry 4...
The Mortal Kombat franchise is in desperate need of a reboot. It's close to becoming a parody of itself.
... is Global Defence Force in that list?!
Seriously, that really was a PS2 hidden gem. It's incredibly hard to get hold of, but it's excellent.
(basically it's the PS2 version of the 360 game Earth Defence Force - But the PS2 version is better!)
Hmmm, well N4G comments breaks some of my XML, but you get the idea.
This is, once again, somewhat useless.
What we need is a webservice that allows us to provide our PSN id and receive back an XML feed containing the trophies that we have acquired. Feeding it back as XML would allow end users to customize the layout and representation.
You could simply have something like this (example only)

uh... what?
Maybe I've misunderstood you, but it sounds like you're suggesting that Linux is susceptible to viruses, spyware and malware.
If you are then you are very, very wrong. There has only been one Linux virus "spotted in the wild" and it was called Bliss. It was released back in 1997.
Yeah, but you've not seen any of the cutscenes. There might be some brutal sequences or constant foul language.
When rating games, people like the BBFC have to see _everything_. Not just a demo or a beta.
Whatever your opinion of this, you can't deny it's a hell of an achievement. The speed in very impressive.
I've bought a few DD games, most of which are now just sitting on my hard drive gathering digital dust. In its current state, digital distribution is somewhat useless.
Maybe it's just me, but after I've played 9 / 10 of the games that I purchase, I trade them in for something else. With DD I can't do that and, ultimately, it's more expensive.
When the day comes when they offer a subscription model to access games like Megaman 9 and Ratchet and Clank then I'll happily...
Yep. And that guard system was a little weird too.
What's the odds of actually getting Emily Rose, the voice of Elena Fisher, to play the role in the movie then? It's not like the girl is bad looking at all,

... I always knew that after Silent Hill 2 they would have considerable difficulty in improving the series going forward. The second game simply set the bar far too high.
I've yet to play a horror game that was so deep, so well realised and contained such a wonderful twist at its heart. The alternative Maria Ending was also fantastic.
Why they never used the game's plot as the script for the film escapes me.
... I can already tell that the the player's greatest adversary in this game will be the camera.
I never played the table top game, but I've always been looking forward to a video game version of Warhammer 40,000. The universe just seems so rich and is ideal for a video game transition.
And, yes, I did play Fire Warrior; yes, I do shiver whenever anyone mentions it; yes, I do still have nightmares about it...
And this is why console manufacturers should put out free hobby SDKs, allow users to create their own games and share them online via a community portal.
The portal could be ad supported or require a annual charge of something pathetically small like $10 or $20 a year to join.
Creators could them share in the revenue based on the amount of activity they are generating.
(Note - Idea works in theory, but probably wouldn't work at all in real time)
"How can they be so quick to cut these peoples salaries yet continue to offer millions to the most "important" people in these productions."
Because, sadly, those people COST money, whilst the bands and the actors are the ones bringing it in. It's the whole eliminate-one-olive thing.
"In the games industry the devs get minimal salaries compared to that of the company marketers, and those who sign on the dotted line THAT is the problem that FA...
Booth Babes rule! :)
They're also usually a good laugh to talk to too :)
Bubble Buddy - Yep, that's right. Because the music and movie industry is JUST actors and musicians, no one else. Nope, not camera and sound crew, not engineers, secretaries, administrators, caterers, security personnel, cleaners, researchers, agents, costume designers, set designers, [paint] artists, mechanical / software technicians, stylists, editors, accountants, medical teams, stunt men, conductors...
Nope, you're right. You're only affecting those overpaid actors...
Populous 1 & 2, Syndicate, Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper... All crap.
Thank God you don't make games like THAT any more, Peter.
(Yes, I am being sarcastic)
... but I've always thought that a trick both MS and Sony are missing is to distribute video game soundtracks via their stores.
Licensing and that aside, it would be cool to play games like Motorstorm, FIFA, Burnout, GTA IV, etc. and be able to go into the store and buy the soundtrack in DRM free 320kps MP3s.
It will probably never ever happen though. Shame.
Virgin traffic manages like mad - They'll quote you 50MBs, but you'll only ever seen that at 1am.
There service was once so bad that I couldn't even connect to Google.
F ck Virgin Broadband.
