I find these games are a lot of fun when there are two players involved, but on your own is a bit of a chore. A shame then that there's no online multiplayer.

Lucky! Wish I could wipe my memory and play it all over again.

Same. Not played an open world game for a few years now, so this is going to be very welcome when I move up to getting a PS4.

And with any luck, we'll be seeing Fallout 4 making an appearance in the next couple of years. Maybe late 2016..?

But they still have one massive, massive limitation, and that is that the controller is also the screen. That means that you are constantly obscuring the play area as you interact with the controls.

It's all very well that BioShock has been ported to the iPhone, but the results are mixed - good graphics, but the gameplay has suffered. You can fit your hands around a controller nicely, with your fingers positioned perfectly over the sticks and buttons. Try holding a phone ...

Just another phone game where the objective is to spend as much money as possible, in order to win.

I went through the whole of DS2 without using the boss souls. I stored them in my item box, for use later. A later that didn't come :)

Well, I never played the game (someone who has will correct me) but it seems he was only in the challenge stages, which I guess doesn't really count.

"Making his first appearance in more than eight years, Goro, the feral, four-armed Shokan warrior"

Wasn't Goro in Mortal Kombat (2011)..?

Autosaving does make games less forgiving, that's for sure.

One thing it does fix, however, is the whole, "oops, I took too much damage/used too many items/used up too much ammo in that last bit, better reload and try again".

Dark Souls is a real sod for that kind of thing. When I finished the game, I had barely used any of my consumables, due to the fear of "this might come in handy later on".

The reason I'm getting a PS4 is because:

A) Sony have focused on it being a games console.
B) There are few (if any) gimmicks involved.
C) The controller has remained largely unchanged - my own personal opinion is that the DualShock is perfect.
D) Faster RAM, CPU, and GPU than the competition.
E) All the exclusives and franchise favourites that I love (I'm 99% certain Tomb Raider will arrive on it within 12 months of the Xbox release). ...

There are sometimes really gross ads as well, like ones for poor skin and bad dental hygiene. Seriously, when I'm reading a review of a video game or whatever I don't need to see photos of the insides people's mouths, showing me rows of rotten teeth!

And let's not forget about the ads that play sound and video. They are certainly some of the worst of the bunch.

I believe they build them themselves? Seems to suggest so, since they say they use official Sony components.

I imagine they'd give you a warranty themselves.

Have seen such mods before, and they're always very, very cool.

But dear lord, they're expensive! £70/$120 (reduced from £90/$150!)

Have always wondered why Sony and MS never sold custom controllers directly from their own websites (at more reasonable prices). They could offer maybe 3 or 4 a year, as tie-ins with AAA games. They'd certainly shift quite a few, I'm sure.

To my eyes, the PS4 boosts minor improvements over the XBox One. Doubtful players will notice when the game is in motion and you're too busy fighting.

Good work, Bungie, seems you're making an incredible effort to make the game the very best you can on each platform.

It's a great game, for sure. I definitely recommend giving it a shot. One of the best games of the previous generation.

"Because dev/pubs want the money, confirmed high sale numbers well in advance to show to stockholders, and gamers are too impatient to wait."

Exactly. Many years ago I read an article in EDGE where a developer said that if the devs were given as long as they wanted to perfect a game, it would never ship. It's basically like a model railway - there is always something to add / change / fix.

Ultimately the business will want to push the game out t...

Good game, loved the old-school gameplay.

I had some issues with the final parts of it, but otherwise I recommend it.

Why is Diablo 3 better on console? Simple - it was a console game in the first place ;)
