Draaake in Spaaace!
I'll be keeping my PS3 because I have a backlog of games to get through and no doubt third-party games will continue to be released because of the user base. I hope PS+ will continue with free PS3 games for a long while.
It seems like a shrewd move by Microsoft locking down a system seller like Titanfall. By the time the second game is released, if there is a PS4 version, most gamers will have played the Xbox version, and associate the game with Xbox.
Xbox is a console for fps with games like Halo, and multi-platform titles COD and BF dominating sales, and I see Titanfall adding to that as well.
I prefer to wait until either Sony, MS and the developer confirms native resolution and/or frame rate before judging.
I guess multi-console owners be the ones to decide whether to go with resolution or friends list if it comes down to it, huh?
Relieved to find out my Tritton AX 180 should work with the PS4. Hopefully the update will give more info on which headsets will be fully compatible.
If the Xbox One version of COD isn't 1080p I doubt it will deter loyal soon to be Xbox One owners from purchasing and enjoying the game with friends, and isn't that the most important thing?
Exclusive games and/or content can be a selling point, but I tend to go with the first party studios and the type of games they produce which I prefer. That is why I went with the PS3.
Can someone please explain if this is a hardware limitation or is it simply drivers. I mean, if MS was supposed to have some kind of agreement with AMD how could their choice of CPU and GPU lead to such a compromise? What about all the talk about custom chips? Will this be something that can be improved over time?
Wait a minute. Doesn't GTA V take place in a fictional city called Los Santos, and how does this affect a real town in Scotland?
Personally I'm not going to buy another console right away but I am interested in seeing if any differences occur between the PS4 and Xbox One multi-platform titles. It will likely show up in the 2nd and subsequent years though as developers get used to the systems, huh? Exclusives should show the true strengths of each platform as the first party developers push the limits of the hardware.
Even if one system is 'more powerful' than the other, it shouldn't stop people...
Definitely looking forward to this game. Does anyone think this may end up as the biggest selling GTA yet?
It would be great if Sony could work with Sega on a new version of Shenmue, or perhaps get a studio to make a similar game.
Eyedentify game using the PS4 camera
A brand new The Getaway for PS4
I still have a bunch of PS3 games to get through but I'll get a PS4 eventually.
I hope the next-gen console versions will look as good as the screenshots.
Agreed. Is Ready at Dawn owned by Sony? If not, they should acquire them.
If I owned a 'weaker' console and the multi-platform game I purchased for it was not as good as the version on another console, then so be it. if I chose to buy the 'weaker' console then chances are I may get games that do not perform as well or look as good compared to another console, though this may also depend on the developer. I don't think parity should be forced.
Perhaps someone can answer this, is it better to port a game from one platform to another, or de...
An announcement and teaser trailer for Rockstars Agent exclusive to PS4 (I can dream, can't I?)
The internet allows people who wouldn't normally speak up the ability to do so anonymously, and although some of it is just hate speak spewed from the mouth of a angry child or adult, it makes that person feel better.
Gamers can change things in a positive way (Xbox One policies, Mass Effect 3 extended ending) but gaming is still seen by lots of other as a children's toy played by children or immature adults.
What about a next-gen remake of the original Deus Ex? Would anyone else like to see that?
How about this crazy idea, have all Xbox One games in 720p and 60fps. I think it could make a big difference. But they will have to change the name of the console.
