In regard to the Diablo III announcement, it's less about that title and what Blizzard's return to consoles says. I mean, the last console title they released was Lost Vikings II nearly 16 years ago...unless of course we count Diablo on PSone. Either way, that's quite a statement...a statement further backed by CD Projekt RED's confirmation that PS4 will see Witcher 3!

Very excited to see if this is simply a fluke, or the beginning of a mass exodus of formerly...

Not soon enough. With Wii U already out, and PlayStation's next beast tomorrow, anything Xbox related is going to sound reactive. Shoes on the other foot going into this next gen, it seems. It's certainly going to be an interesting ride from here on out.

Whether you're presenting an argument on specs, or otherwise, it still comes off as this elitist bullshit I steer clear of.

Bottom line, I simply cannot justify the initial cost it takes to build a PC that will handle the game of today, let alone the one for tomorrow. Too many companies, too many chipsets and graphics cards, and not a single game that is optimized similarly.

Sure, PC games look great, support MODs, a multitude of accessories and implement...

...which is more than they get with the sales of current Xbox 360 and its software.

I don't care about percentages, but I can still find the humor that Microsoft would be lining their pockets, even if it's pennies on the dollar!

I wonder how much Microsoft would be helping Sony if every Durango sold truly does have Blu-Ray hardware inside of it, and every game is on a Blu-Ray disc.

Almost as funny thinking that Sony owns one of the largest BD replication lines, meaning that Microsoft could potentially be paying Sony to master and replicate their Durango software...

...so much love going into this generation! <3

Get off here with your logic...and reason...and...sense making.

Seriously though, you summed it up perfectly.

*sigh*

I understand subjectivity, but it seems Marty simply misses the point of the series, instead opting to compare the formula within to others in the genre (Psychonauts & Ratchet).

I'm sorry, but how high were your expectations here? Sanzaru did a fantastic job on this game and, admittedly, I was worried upon discovering this entry wasn't in the hands of Sucker Punch. That worry was ill-placed.

I don't think they failed. What failed are the expectations by the majority who condemn them.

I wager $399 USD! TOPS!

As great as this is for those of us who own/support Wii/WiiU/3DS, I can't help but feel that the timing is somehow related to next weeks 02/20 Sony Meeting. Wind...Sails...anyone else get this feeling, or am I alone?

I've been waiting for this inevitable release...seriously guys...physics! It's science, and also...MATHEMATICAL!

L3 & R3 can be simulated on the rear touchpad...I've played plenty of games and utilized this.

$2.99 for Cross-Buy PS3 and PSV versions? All of Bentley's Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time hack mini-games, but these are fully realized arcade versions with High Score Online Rankings?

Hell yes it's worth it. Some of those hacks were among my favorite moments in the game. I gladly spent $2.99 and installed it on both my PS3 and Vita. Trophies don't hurt either.

I have a very difficult time believing anyone bought a WiiU ONLY for Rayman. It may have been on the top of your list, or near it, but the only idiot (since we're freely slinging insults here it seems) I can recognize is the one that spends in upwards of $400 simply for one game ($350 for the bigboy WiiU, $50 for Rayman).

I wouldn't have to be a betting man to put money down on the fact you, or anyone else for that matter, purchased a WiiU because you love Nintendo an...

I know...they're mad at the publisher, Ubisoft, so they move to punish those they're defending? Talk about actively undermining the sanctity of those you wish to support/protect, by lambasting those you don't. Collateral damage much?

If Ubisoft is accused of anything, it's bringing to light the reality that "gamers" are a mess of whiny and entitled brats. It's quite embarassing to count myself among the chunk of those vocal here who are simply proving the point that this industry is not a matured one.

I'll be honest. After wrapping up Scribblenauts in two days, I haven't had much reason to turn it back on. My kids (6 & 3 years of age), have barely played it...and they were the intended audience.

It's still way too soon for these gloom & doom articles, and there are definitely games I'm looking forward to. Our next will be LEGO City Undercover, but after that, I'm not sure we have much to look forward to until Fall. It's a big gap, so I can s...

As a fan of the franchise, I'm not sure what more could be expected other than what was delivered. It's a phenomenal platformer with the same great level design and humor from the original series. Sanzaru delivered everything I wanted in this, the 4th installment of the series.

CNET's reviewer for this, Jeff Bakalar, sites motion control as a poor implementation. While I certainly agree with his comment that most game steer clear of it, in this game it makes sense...

It has nothing to do with anything you're talking about, and everything to do with the launch timing of the Rayman Origins. Origins launched smack dab in the middle of November, prime territory for triple A launches and, frankly, even the games with a huge marketing budget run the risk of getting lost in the mix. Rayman had practically ZERO marketing, so it was no surprise that it sold poorly at launch, but later performed at the price drop.

Looks to be Ubi is doing it ag...

I still can't wrap my head around the concept that a $500 home console that lasts me 7-years, is too much, when a great PC might cost me the same price and need new RAM, additional storage, maybe another graphics card/etc., within a few...and that's not including the option of a specialized display if I'm not resorting to HDMI out through my existing setup, a specialized gaming mouse and keyboard, and any number of other factors that could easily amount to something like $700-$100...
